Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify both attitudes: work is presented as important for financial support and future choices, while hobbies are linked to calmness, stress relief, imagination, and motivation. However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas remain very brief. The opening is difficult to interpret, and the essay does not clearly state your own opinion, despite promising a “logical view.” The examples are general rather than supported with a specific situation or relevant evidence, and the final paragraph ends without a conclusion. The response also falls 98 words short of the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop the arguments. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly and explain and illustrate each side before concluding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic overall arrangement: an introduction is followed by one paragraph for each attitude, and phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the contrast. This gives the reader a general sense of the essay’s direction. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and the response stops without a concluding paragraph to bring the discussion together. Some links are mechanical or unclear: “because of it” has an uncertain reference, while “in contrast with hobbies” does not clearly connect the ideas that follow. Several points are placed next to one another without explanation. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each reason to its consequence, and add a conclusion that restates your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial support,” “calmness,” “relief stress,” and “motivation and hope.” These choices show an effort to discuss both practical and emotional benefits. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “prefrences,” “relyability,” “conving argument,” and “job burdenise the person.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “far more better than job” and “unlock the way towards imagination.” Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations; for example, use “reduce stress” and “mental and physical strain” rather than translating phrases word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to form both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “however” and a reason introduced by “because.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, the range is limited, and errors are frequent enough to make several sentences difficult to read. For example, “In recent year it become” has problems with number and verb form, while “The believers of first idea said that jobs play” shifts tense awkwardly. Missing spaces after full stops and inconsistent punctuation also interrupt the flow. Practise accurate present-tense sentences first, then add controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “while.” Check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
