Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You attempt to discuss both attitudes: people who prioritise work and people who value hobbies, and you include a cricket example. However, the first view is difficult to interpret, and the response does not clearly state your own opinion, which the task explicitly requires. The ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained; for instance, the claim that work-focused people want “regard” is not developed with a clear reason or example. The ending, “There are thing that are in my mind,” does not provide a conclusion or relevant evidence. The response is also 9 words below the 250-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a clear explanation, then state and support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to move from the work-focused attitude to the leisure-focused one, signalled by “On the behalf of other side,” and the cricket example gives the second discussion a little progression. However, ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, and several points repeat without advancing the argument, such as the repeated statements that work-focused people have little interest in anything else. Connectors including “because,” “so,” and “then” are used repeatedly, sometimes without showing a clear logical relationship. References such as “that way” and “that what he want” are also unclear. Organise the response into an introduction, separate body paragraphs, and a conclusion, with each paragraph developing one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a small set of relevant topic words, including “work,” “hobbies,” “leisure,” “enthusiastic,” and “activity,” so the general subject can be recognised. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or spelling often makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “regard for his word” does not clearly express the intended idea, while “a men” and “so bore” show problems with word forms. Frequent misspellings such as “intrest,” “becuase,” and “diffrents” further reduce clarity. Build a more precise range for discussing motivation and work-life balance, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to link ideas in longer sentences, for example, “Because they wil be so bore in his job. When he have no enough time for the other activity,” but these attempts are often incomplete or difficult to understand. Sentence boundaries are frequently unclear, with fragments beginning “Because” or “When,” and several clauses are joined without reliable punctuation. Verb forms and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “he have,” “they wil,” and “people things.” Most sentences rely on simple patterns, so the range is very limited. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then add subordinate clauses only when their relationship to the main clause is clear.
