Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, work and hobbies are the perssing issues all over the globe. Some people pay their all attentions to their jobs. Meanwhile, others argue that playing favourite games or doing something they like the most are far important than work. I believe that jobs are fundamental for life.
First of all, it is widely acknowledged that inflation is at peak level at the present time, almost in all areas of the world. So, in order to meet the financial expanses of their families, people consider work as the significant part of their life. Consequently, they lose interests in their hobbies because they don't manage time for co-curricular activities. Moreover, daily grind of the office work tired people a lot, infact they don't have enough energy for playing games. A direct consequence is that by sacrificing their particular interests, people feel more happy both mentally and physically because their families live a peaceful life.
Secondly, some people are very enthusiastic about their physical health. So, they give appropriate time to their favourite sports and different types of other hobbies. For example, some people are very interested in the kitchen gardening. They like caring their plants and give them water at a particular time because this is their favourite free time interest. These people don't give much time to their business. A compelling argument can be made because they don't have any worries about their earning livelihood because they have well-established business. If people pay more attentions to their hobbies, then their physical health will remain stable.
In conclusion, although some people are very concerned about their hobbies instead of their jobs due to several benefits. Personally, I believe that work is considered to be the crucial part of our lives because without it survival of life is almost impossible.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both attitudes and state a clear preference for work, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. The financial pressure of inflation and the example of gardening give relevant reasons for each view. However, the discussion is uneven: the work-focused paragraph explains why people prioritise jobs, but its claim that sacrificing hobbies makes people happier is asserted rather than supported. The leisure-focused paragraph gives a specific example, yet does not explore how hobbies may compete with work or why people value them beyond health. Your opinion is clear, but the reasoning that survival is almost impossible without work is broad and could be qualified. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation or a concrete example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion, and the central position remains identifiable. Some connections between claims are less clear, however. For example, the move from inflation to people losing interest in hobbies is plausible but needs a more explicit explanation, while “A direct consequence” introduces a claim about happiness that does not clearly follow from the preceding point about tiredness. The repeated use of “So” and “because” also makes linking somewhat mechanical. Use more precise references and vary transitions, ensuring each sentence develops the point immediately before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “inflation,” “financial expenses,” “daily grind,” “enthusiastic,” and “well-established business.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic vocabulary. However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “perssing issues” appears to be a misspelling, “pay their all attentions” is unnatural, and “far important” does not express the intended comparison correctly. Phrases such as “earning livelihood” and “free time interest” are also awkward. The reader can generally understand your meaning, but more accurate, natural combinations would strengthen the argument. Learn useful phrases as complete collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although,” and “if.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas are usually understandable. Some errors in sentence construction and grammatical patterns remain. For example, “although some people are very concerned about their hobbies instead of their jobs due to several benefits” is an incomplete contrast in the conclusion, and “they like caring their plants” needs a different verb pattern. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and plural forms, as in “the significant part” and “more attentions.” Review verb patterns after common verbs, check singular and plural nouns, and make sure each concluding clause forms a complete sentence.
