Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few people believe that the professional workers such as the doctors and the engineers should only work in country from which they got their training whereas some think that they should be free to decide whether they want to work in the country they got their training done from or a country of their choice if they want to.

People believing that the experts are only required to work in the state they got their training done from, this perspective has several reasons behind it.The first one would be that if a certain country is offering an course, they chose you over the others because they think you have got the potential to achieve the target that you have as well the target that specific country has.For instance, people go to China for MBBS which is recognised all over the world and later return to their own country in which they have got residence. This is done only for better opportunites because people always give importance to those who are offering them great opportunities.

On the other hand, people are having a positive perspective as they are respecting these experts point of view because these people also have the right to choose what job or where they want to do a certain job.People don't have the right to choose for others. And in today's world many inventions are being made and people are trying their best to invent more and more stuff they can offer the society to make life nesscisity much easily. And these can be done if a person goes to another country which is working on such things.

To sum up,the people thinking that profesionals have their own freedom to work wherever they want are having a great perspective and the others should start changing their thoughts from negative to positives as these professionals only are making the world a better place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You introduce both positions and give a clear preference in the conclusion for professionals to choose where they work. However, the discussion only partially fulfils the task because the reasons for requiring professionals to remain in the training country are not explained clearly. The example about people studying medicine in China and returning to their home country does not directly show why they should be required to work where they trained. The argument for freedom is also broad: the point about inventions and countries developing new things needs a specific link to doctors or engineers and a relevant example. Develop each side with a focused reason and supporting evidence, then state your own view more explicitly and consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To sum up” help signal the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together without clear explanation. For example, the first body paragraph moves from a country selecting a trainee to opportunities and then to returning home, without showing how these points support compulsory service. The final paragraph introduces a judgement about “negative” and “positive” thoughts that does not clearly follow from the discussion. Use topic sentences, develop one main point at a time, and make links between examples and claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “professionals,” “experts,” “potential,” and “opportunities,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, which sometimes makes the argument harder to follow. For instance, “professional workers” is redundant, “offering an course” is not a natural expression, and “make life nesscisity much easily” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “opportunites,” “nesscisity,” and “profesionals” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms; choose expressions that clearly describe training, employment, and professional migration.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “whereas,” “because,” and “if.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and punctuation can make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “People believing that the experts are only required…” is not a complete, well-formed sentence, while “they chose you” shifts unexpectedly from third person to second person. The opening sentence is also overloaded, and several sentences run together without spaces after commas or full stops. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate clause structures and consistent pronouns.
