Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is argued that experts like doctors and engineer should work in the country from where they received their apprenticeship, on the other hand some individuals think that they are free to work at any place they wish to. However, there are certain drawbacks to this, I firmly believe that the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages because while doing training professional are become more familiar with the instruments, methods and policies as well.
On the one hand, there are some undeniable disadvantages to professionals that wish to work in other country rather than choosing to work where they did training. The main drawback is that if they choose to work in other country without training, they might struggle with a lot of factors such as rules and regulations, instruments while performing any task. For instance, a doctor while doing operation in new country is not acquainted about the instruments result in death of the patient.
On the other hand, the benefits of skilled persons such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training rather than wishing to work at any other country are far more significant. This is primarily because while doing training, the one became more aware about the equipment along with that the major thing is policies and procedure. Another reason is that professional gain a lot of knowledge and experience during training which make them experts in their field. The prime example of this is engineer will work more confidently on place where they received training.
In conclusion, despite the minor disadvantages such as struggle in work, lack of confidence while doing any task, the advantages including expertise in handling equipment, confidence in performance, awareness about policies make it highly positive development overall.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the task by discussing both views regarding whether professionals should work in the country where they trained or have the freedom to work elsewhere. The writer presents a clear opinion that favors professionals working in their training country. However, the argument lacks depth and specific examples. For a higher band score, the student should elaborate more on both viewpoints and provide concrete examples to strengthen their position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The coherence of the essay is generally good, with a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, some transitions between sentences and ideas could be smoother. For instance, the phrase "on the other hand" is used but could be enhanced to better signal the shift in argument. More linking words could improve the overall flow. The structure could also benefit from clearer paragraphing, particularly in separating arguments for and against.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The lexical resource in the response is somewhat limited, with repeated use of basic vocabulary such as "work," "country," and "training." There are also instances of awkward phrasing (e.g., "experts like doctors and engineer"). To improve, the student should try to incorporate a wider range of vocabulary and synonym variations, especially when discussing skills and expertise. There are also minor spelling errors, such as "engineer" instead of "engineers," which affects precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The grammatical range is adequate, with a mix of simple and complex sentences. However, there are grammatical errors that impact clarity, such as subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., "engineer should work" should be "engineers should work"). Sentence structures can also be improved for clarity. The use of prepositions is sometimes incorrect (e.g., "in other country" should be "in another country"). Overall, greater accuracy and variety in sentence structures are needed for a higher score.
Overall feedback
Your essay presents a clear stance on the topic, which is good for task achievement. However, to improve your score, you should aim to provide more detailed examples and arguments for both sides, enhancing the depth of your discussion. Work on using a wider range of vocabulary to express your ideas more effectively, and pay attention to grammatical accuracy. Revise sentence structures to improve clarity and coherence, which will also positively impact the overall flow of the essay. Additionally, ensure you're making the argument logically cohesive by effectively linking your points.
