Student answer (Band 7.0)
Few individuals believe that the doctors and engineers should serve in their own countries whereas others have contradicting ideology of letting them free to work in whichever country the are willing to work. As per my opinion they should be allowed to choose their own career path.
On one hand, many people suggests that the professionals of medical and engineering sectors are required to work in their home country. One main reason behind such mindset could be that these are the streams that are beneficial for the economic growth of the country. Moreover, the shortages of medical professional is also an important topic of concern, so this might be another possibility of people having thinking that doctors should work in the country they did training. Also, engineers can be helpful to build a better infrastructure of the country in which the have working experience which in turn is advantageous for fast development of the nation.
On the other hand, there are some individuals who believe that engineers and doctors should be free to choose the country they want to serve. Primary reason for this is the overall growth of medical and engineering individuals. For instance, the demand of those working in medical sector are more in abroad as compared to the country they are trained and by choosing abroad as a career path they can get a secured future for their family and themselves. And I totally support such ideology because if the person is having secure future then he can provide full attention on work with great dedication which in turn is beneficial for society.
In conclusion, though people believe that doctors and engineers should work in their own country for nation's growth but I personally think that they should be free to decide the country they want to work in for their overall growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as economic growth for the home country and personal career development for the individual. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'economic growth' is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples or deeper analysis. The position is consistent throughout, but the essay would benefit from more detailed supporting evidence to reach a higher band. Overall, it is a solid attempt that covers the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'the country they did training', which lacks a clear antecedent. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, though the connection between sentences could be more sophisticated to improve the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'contradicting ideology' and 'advantageous', which are used reasonably well. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'shortages of medical professional' (should be 'professionals') and 'medical and engineering individuals' (should be 'professionals'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise and varied lexical control to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the doctors', 'the medical sector') and subject-verb agreement ('many people suggests', 'the demand... are'). Additionally, there are minor syntax issues, such as 'the country in which the have working experience'. These errors occur throughout the text but do not prevent the reader from understanding the writer's argument. To improve, the student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining the use of articles and pluralization.
