Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this topic we are going to discuss about why people should do jobs in the same country in which they completed their training or weather they should be free to work in other countries if they want to.
Many people believe that doctors, engineers etc. Should work in the same countries they completed their training from because many countries have different rules and decorum, and it can help them understand the requirements there will be no language barrier between people of different races. It is definitely important for a country to have people of all fields.
In most of the countries these professions aren't valued as much as they deserve. Many countries can't provide proper recourses for such jobs, many countries lacks jobs, and many have abundance of students that the country can't provide that many jobs to the people holding these professions. And people face low incomes many of them stay jobless and some of them lose interest in getting a job.
Every person works hard to get a better future have a nice income and after working hard you still get nothing in return. This makes most of the people to leave and move to a country where their professions are noticed and properly valued and get the income which they really deserve. And most of the people who works in other countries are talented and well trained.
In my opinion everyone has a right to earn their living and they can move to other countries and its also good for the countries with large population to have enough doctors, engineers, and works and it will also helps in increasing a countries economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding why professionals should stay in their home country is limited to 'rules and decorum' and 'language barriers,' which lacks depth. Similarly, the discussion on why they leave is repetitive, focusing heavily on income and job availability without exploring broader socio-economic impacts or the concept of 'brain drain.' To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or nuanced explanations for each viewpoint rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes mechanical. Transitions between sentences are often missing or repetitive (e.g., starting multiple sentences with 'Many countries'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within paragraphs, which makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this,' 'these') is used more precisely would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on common, repetitive terms like 'jobs,' 'countries,' and 'people.' There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'decorum' to describe professional standards and 'recourses' when you likely meant 'resources.' While your meaning is always clear, the lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary limits your score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms to demonstrate a wider lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many countries lacks jobs,' 'people who works'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'weather' instead of 'whether'), and punctuation errors. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a lack of control over more complex grammatical structures. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and tense consistency would help improve your accuracy.
