Migration to different parts of the world has become one of the most prominent trends in the modern era. Some people oppose such migration of people belonging to professions in healthcare and engineering sectors and believe that they should work in the same country they were trained in, while others believe that they should have the independence to work wherever they want. My opinion aligns with the second group of people.

The belief of the first group of people can be justified by variations in laws of different countries. A person's education in a specific field is done considering that particular country's regulations, it becomes easier for that individual to practice their work in the same region. For instance, medicinal practices are different for each country, therefore doctors who study and practice in the same country would have a profound knowledge about diseases and treatments for the same than somebody who did their academics in a different country.

However, some people contrast to this opinion and believe that every individual irrespective of their race, should be given equal opportunity to work wherever they want to. By working in different countries, the person could get greater exposure that will directly reflect in the expansion of their knowledge about the subject. As an epitome, World Health Organization recruits various healthcare professionals from different countries, to contribute in creation of various innovative medications resulting in the combined benefit to the world.

Personally, I am of the opinion that everybody should be given the independence to choose their profession as well as the their place of practice. Given the technological advancements, nobody, in the present day is confined to follow the stereotypical norms, and should given every opportunity to excel in their respective field even if that requires moving to another country.

In conclusion, limiting a person's success due to confinment to a specific geographical area cannot be justified. However, it is understandable for people to think that professionals could contribute more to the society if they work in the same country they are trained in, but as per my perception, such limitation cannot be imposed on a person without their will and there can be greater chances of excellment overseas, with higher proportions in which a person can contribution.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of medical regulations and the benefits of global knowledge exchange. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding engineering is mentioned in the notes but not fully explored in the essay body, which focuses heavily on healthcare. To reach a higher band, ensure that both professions mentioned in the prompt are equally supported with specific examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, restating the opinion without adding significant depth to the final summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. Cohesive devices such as 'However', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' are used effectively to guide the reader. There are minor issues with flow; for example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly mechanical, but the overall progression of ideas remains clear throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate and allows for clear communication. You demonstrate an attempt to use less common items like 'epitome', 'profound', and 'stereotypical'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'confinment' (spelling), 'excellment' (non-existent word), and 'higher proportions in which a person can contribution' (grammatically incorrect). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach the higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For instance, 'it becomes easier' in the second paragraph is a comma splice. There are also issues with article usage ('the medicinal practices') and verb forms ('should given every opportunity'). Despite these errors, the meaning is consistently clear, and the errors do not cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are punctuated correctly.
