Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some people think professionals, like a doctors and engineers should be required to work in their own country, while others believe that they should be independent for their work in any country if they wish. I will discuss both perspectives and give my opinion in further paragraphs.

Firstly, people believe that if professionals do work in their own country so, it has several benefits for the country like if they give their best in their field so country not required to call another countries professionals for any difficult task. Sometimes, another countries professionals come to our country so, that time they required very expansive fees from us. For examples, in hospital when any serious crisis come which not handle with their own country doctors so that time government call another country's expert doctor and his fees very expensive but if their country's specialist doctors not migrates to abroad so it may helpful for country.

Secondly, some people believe that, they should be free to work in another country if they wish because of all people are independent and they take their own decision for if they shift to abroad and work for another country. Sometimes, people not satisfied with their salary in their own country so they take decision for go to abroad and getting high salary job. For example, a doctor has not good salary job in their own country so, he decide to shift another country, where they can get good salary job.

In my opinion, both perspectives are true on their own view but, i think if people stay in their own country and serve for their nation so, it beneficial for both country and person.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding the economic benefits of retaining professionals and the individual's right to seek better pay are clear but rely on repetitive phrasing and simplistic examples. To achieve a higher band, the ideas need to be more fully extended with more sophisticated reasoning or broader context. The position is clear, but the conclusion is brief and lacks the depth required to fully support the initial arguments presented in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In my opinion', which help guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'so, that time they required'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. The student relies on basic, repetitive terms like 'good salary job' and 'another country'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'expansive fees' (instead of 'expensive') and 'not migrates to abroad'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the presence of these errors limit the score. Incorporating more academic collocations and precise terminology would significantly enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('a doctors', 'they required'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('if they give their best in their field so country not required'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and occur in both simple and complex structures. To improve, the student should focus on basic sentence construction, verb tense consistency, and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
