Student answer (Band 5.5)

This is a paradigm shift of individuals in the modern era that the people who are doctors or engineers should give their services to their own countries, where they graduated from. as regards to my view point, they should allow to work anywhere in the world. In subsiquent paragraphs I will shed light on both views and also discuss reasons for my viewpoint.

To start with, migration is the biggest cause for this phenomenon. To clarify, immigration is on a huge scale now, its very often to move and work in different Nations which causes inflammation and also Native of those countries do not like them because they feel that immigrants cause unemployment. That's why a group of people favour this.

On the other hand, those who support this view point, stating that good services needs every Nation. For example, Indian origin doctors are praised everywhere in the world, people want them to work in their countries so that they can get better services.

In my opinion I strongly in favour of globalisation. In this century where world is a village, the internet make it small, people getting more oppertunities with good sum of money than why they stop. Its the right of every scholar to get what they deserve so they should allow to work to the place they get chance or they desire to.

In capsulate, world is like a small village, now there are lots of work chances available for everyone so nobody can stop anyone. Furthermore its their hard work, everyone deserve better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding why professionals should stay in their home country are underdeveloped and somewhat confusing, particularly the mention of 'inflammation' and unemployment. The support for the opposing view is also quite brief. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations and specific examples for each viewpoint. While the position is clear throughout, the lack of depth in the supporting arguments prevents the response from reaching a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In subsiquent paragraphs' and 'In capsulate'. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the connection between the first and second paragraphs is weak. The flow of ideas is sometimes disjointed, making the progression of the argument feel a bit forced. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'inflammation' instead of 'tension' or 'social friction', and 'world is a village' is a cliché. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'subsiquent', 'oppertunities', and 'deserve' (used as 'deserve' instead of 'deserves'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate rather than relying on basic or misused terminology.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'they should allow to work' (should be passive: 'should be allowed'), 'good services needs every Nation' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'the internet make it small' (should be 'makes'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence fragments. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limits the score in this criterion.
