Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is quite common for some professionals, such as madical professionalists and engineers to pursue their career in any other nation than the country from where they earned their degree. Some peope encourage this by arguing that it should be their choice whether they want to stay in the same country or want to move to any other for the work practices, while, other argue that they should be restricted to stay in their own nation where they studied and got training. There are numerous solid reasons behind both schools of thought.

First of all, the group of individuals, which says that doctors and engineers should work in their own country, they state the reason that these are the critical jobs, where these professionals need to interact with laymen very oftenly. So they must have strong grip on the country's language as well as they should be familiar with the culture and psyche of the national people. For instance, A patient can not afford misunderstanding or miscommunication from a doctor, because it can cost it too much, sometimes even his life.

On the other hand, those are in favour of having free will that any doctor or engineer can go to any region of the world to practice their jobs, they provide a reason that every one should have choice to go to place, where they can earn a good living and can have a rewarding career, regardless of their nation or culture. For example, an egineer has a salary of few hundreds of dollars in asia, while he can earn thosands of dollars by moving to united states, so why should not he move there?

Taking everything into account, In my opinion, these reputable professionalists should stay in their own country from where they eraned the degree and did their training, because most of the time they will be dealing with people's life directly so they should not think about what amount they are recieving and should priorities humanity over career.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the importance of language and culture for doctors, the explanation remains quite general. Similarly, the economic argument for engineers is clear but could be strengthened with more nuanced analysis regarding the 'brain drain' phenomenon or the global nature of modern engineering. The position is consistent, but the reasoning in the final paragraph is slightly reductive, as it focuses solely on altruism without acknowledging the complexities of global labor markets. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more sophisticated reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'On the other hand', and 'Taking everything into account' to signal shifts in focus. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly repetitive, and the use of cohesive devices is somewhat predictable. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between ideas is more tightly integrated within the paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'reputable', 'miscommunication', and 'rewarding career'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'madical', 'professionalists' (instead of professionals), 'peope', 'egineer', 'thosands', and 'eraned'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. Furthermore, some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'national people' instead of 'local population' or 'citizens'. To achieve a higher score, focus on accurate spelling and expanding your repertoire of collocations to sound more natural and precise in an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'the group of individuals, which says that... they state the reason', which is a redundant structure, and 'oftenly', which is not a standard adverb. You also have issues with articles ('the united states') and subject-verb agreement ('a patient can not afford... it can cost it too much'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
