Student answer (Band 5.5)

A considerable proportion of people believe that doctors and technicians should do job in respective nation where they did training while other think that they should be free of choosing their work place. Owing to providing exposure to people and helping them to opting favourable wages, I strongly believe that everybody should be independent of choosing the country where they want to do work.

Most importantly, working in other country will help in developing connections with others. This is because when a person is working in same region where he did training then it will not give them a way to interact with others as in some nation the high post doctors and engineers are well experienced and after gaining knowledge from them a person will become not only resourceful but also enjoys great opportunity of worldwide reconginition. As a result, it will help them to explore other countries as well as help them to spread the working skill in other nation on their own.

Additionally, it gives them opportunity to get sufficient payrolls. The reason for the same is that if a nation employs all the professionals in its own region than workers may not get the enough wages because government have to give employment to all. Moreover, some nations do not have a significant number of medial assistant and technicians so they require them urgently and provide them their negotiable salaries. Hence, it will give them chance to earn enough according to their ability.

To conclude, due to giving opportunity to upgrade the skills and earing well, I am convinced that people should be free of choosing either they want to work in their country or in other.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'connections' is a bit vague, and the point about 'sufficient payrolls' could be better supported with more specific examples or logical links. While the prompt is addressed, the explanation of why professionals should stay in their home country is largely absent, focusing almost exclusively on the benefits of working abroad. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth and that the reasoning is more robustly connected to the prompt's context.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Most importantly', 'Additionally', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'The reason for the same is that'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between working in the same region and the lack of interaction is not fully explained. Improving the variety and naturalness of cohesive links would enhance the flow of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors. For example, 'do job' should be 'work', 'medial assistant' should be 'medical assistants', and 'earing well' is a spelling error for 'earning'. The phrase 'free of choosing' is also non-standard; 'free to choose' would be more natural. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'resourceful' and 'negotiable salaries', the overall range is somewhat limited, and errors occasionally distract from the message.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'other think' (should be 'others think'), 'in same region' (missing article), and 'government have to' (subject-verb agreement). There are also issues with punctuation and word forms, such as 'reconginition'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to indicate a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
