Student answer (Band 5.0)
Professions such as a doctors or engineers are the profession that are worldwide and these are international degrees. In a profession there is no restriction or boundaries for there work place but some people believe that doctors and engineers should be required to work in there country where they did their training but ,I believe that they should be free to work in another country if the wish There are some opinions which are given below:
First of all the is no boundaries of work place for a person because they having their free will and if your country allow you to move where you want and you also want to do a job in any other country so you have to avail this opportunity.Secondly the other countries paying you well and giving you good facilities you have to go there definitely. There is good future and advance technology will help you to make your life better.
On the other hand the people think that doctors and engineers should work for there country where they did there training because they think that you have to stay and work for your country and help the government in improving the nation and train all the upcoming generations.
In my opinion, you have to use your free will and live where you want, do work where you are satisfy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, but the development is insufficient. The essay is 25 words under the minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the points regarding personal freedom and economic benefits are relevant, they are presented in a very simplistic manner without concrete examples or detailed explanation. The conclusion is also quite brief. To improve, you must expand on your ideas with specific examples—for instance, discussing how brain drain affects developing nations versus the individual's right to career progression—to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'There are some opinions which are given below:'. The logical progression between sentences is often disjointed, making the flow feel repetitive. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the argument feel like a list of points rather than a cohesive discussion. Improving the use of transition signals like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'conversely' would significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'good', 'work', and 'country'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'the is no boundaries' instead of 'there are no boundaries' and 'they having their free will'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to migration, professional development, and socio-economic impact. Avoid using informal phrasing and focus on building a more varied lexicon to convey your arguments more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Professions such as a doctors... are the profession'), article usage, and punctuation, particularly the misuse of commas. The sentence structures are predominantly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. For example, 'if your country allow you to move' should be 'allows'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb forms, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect pluralisation. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures will also help improve your score.
