Student answer (Band 6.0)

People are being so concerned about whether experts like engineers and doctors should only work in the country where they trained. Others believe that professionals should choose the country they want to work themselves. I believe that individuals should be free to choose their work destination because a person know about their abilities and skills better.

On one hand, people think that individuals should work at the same place where they learn about their profession. It is because where a person get training can do work there easily because they learn in the same environment and know about how to work in that specific country. Working structure may differs in different places. For instance, A person trained from a country can perform better in the same place then moving to another because of the different environment.

On the other hand, some people think that prosfessionals should change the country if they want to for work. There can be numerous reasons to change the country, such as lack of opportunities, low wages, less chances of improvements/ promotions. In some areas we do not get much opportunities in terms of a specific field or do not get desired salary. In some cases there are less chances to get promotion. Due to all these factors skilled people decided to move to other countries.

To wrap up, working in own country can be benificial in terms of better understandings of the environment and can perform well. Whereas less opportunities leads to moving to another country. Although, working in your home country is easy for people but people should have authority to move to another country for their work if it is good for their career and professional life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention reasons for working abroad, such as 'lack of opportunities' or 'low wages', these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. The arguments remain quite general. To improve, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations or concrete examples to support your claims, which would help in achieving a higher band score by demonstrating a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To wrap up' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally repetitive. For instance, the transition between the second and third sentences in the second paragraph is a bit abrupt. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother by using more sophisticated referencing and substitution.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'professionals', 'opportunities', and 'promotions'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of slightly unnatural phrasing, such as 'people are being so concerned' or 'less chances of improvements'. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'benificial' (spelling) and 'prosfessionals' (spelling). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to convey your points with more sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect the clarity of your writing. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('a person know', 'working structure may differs') and article usage errors ('a person trained from a country'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately. Increasing the variety of your sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help boost your score.
