Student answer (Band 6.0)

Education is one of the most important factors for the development of the nation. Countries like USA, UK, Canada, Germany developed at a high rate due to expansion of education and efficient utilization of talent.

There are diversified professions which includes doctors, engineers, pilots, bank managers and many more. Some people believes that the professionals should work in the country where they acquired their training, which is appropriate up to some extend. When a person works in the same place where he mastered his craft, gets him into lot many benefits, like he is aware about the surroundings, requirements, steps to be taken care of, preferences of recruiters, work premises and culture, precautions, limitations and much more. Due to which it becomes easy for him/her to linger upon their skill more accurately. While some people wants professionals to work in their own country so that the country does not lack skilled talent and eventually the whole nation gets uplifted as the utilization is held appropriately.

for example, the degree of BPT(bachelors in physiotherapy) is not valid in Russia, then the doctor must practice it in India where he/acquired the training from.

However some people thinks that professionals should not be limited to their country, instead they should work as per their own choice. Due to this, professionals gets benefited by new atmosphere and work culture, gets known to global perspective, shifts from stereo typical surroundings, gets more opportunities due to establishment of healthy competition, and allows him/her to work as per their own will.

For example, If a pilot works in British Airlines instead of Air India, it may lead to increase in more opportunities for him/her

Thus after all it depends on the professional, if he wants to work in the same country or foreign country. If one is more happy working foreign then he/she should work there or vice versa.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding professionals working in their home country relies on a list of benefits rather than a deep exploration of the societal impact. The example provided about physiotherapy in Russia is specific but lacks sufficient explanation to fully support the point. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesise the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations and more robust examples that illustrate the broader implications of these choices.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. Phrases like 'Due to which' and 'Due to this' are used frequently and sometimes incorrectly, which disrupts the flow of ideas. Additionally, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. While there is a logical progression from one viewpoint to the next, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the essay feel somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring they are used naturally would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'linger upon their skill' and 'shifts from stereo typical surroundings'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'developed at a high rate' instead of 'developed rapidly'. While the range is sufficient to convey your meaning, there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic collocations. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to professional migration and economic development, and pay closer attention to natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some people believes', 'professionals gets benefited') and awkward sentence construction ('gets him into lot many benefits'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
