Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, many people chose professional fields such as doctors and engineers. Some people argue that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training, while others believe that they should be free to work in another country if they wish. In my opinion, individuals should get freedom to work anywhere in the world.
On the one hand, if professionals work in the same country where they did training allow individuals with more opportunities in future. This is because if people did training in a particular country, they may know their techniques, standards of work, and quality of work required. For example, if a person completed training in India migrate to Germany for work, they may face language barrier, difficulty in task achievement, and different techniques a country uses. Additionally, it may also benefits a country in developing advanced technologies. If a person works in same country, they may help in making more modern equipment and software tools. This may help a country to become more advance in some areas compared with different countries.
On the other hand, critics believe that working in another country contributes to the overall development of an individual. If a person explores a different country, they may gain knowledge about different techniques, standards and quality of life in another country. These things help in the overall development of an individual. They may also learn new things in life such as exploring the nature, learning new language, and so on. Furthermore, this trend can be beneficial to those who want to migrate to another country. If a person wants to settle down permanently in another country can later get a chance to take their parents permanently to another country.
In conclusion, working in a same country helps an individual with more opportunities and help countries in developing advanced technologies, but at the same time working in another country helps an individual with the overall development and encourage those who want to migrate to a different country. I believe that such professionals are required to work in same country, but people has a freedom to choose where to work after training keeping in mind their personal and country's benefit.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding 'advanced technologies' is vague and not fully supported by concrete examples. While the prompt asks for a discussion of both views, the conclusion introduces a contradictory stance by suggesting professionals should be required to stay while simultaneously having the freedom to leave, which undermines the clarity of your position. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully extended with specific, logical reasoning rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'if professionals work in the same country where they did training allow individuals...' which lacks a clear subject-verb connection. Additionally, some transitions are mechanical. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs are more tightly connected would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'migrate,' 'professional fields,' and 'standards of work.' However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat words like 'country,' 'work,' and 'individual.' There are also minor collocation errors, such as 'get freedom' instead of 'have the freedom' and 'become more advance' instead of 'become more advanced.' To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many people chose' instead of 'have chosen'; 'people has a freedom' instead of 'people have the freedom') and missing articles or prepositions ('in same country' instead of 'in the same country'). Complex sentences are attempted, but they often contain errors that slightly impede the reader. Focusing on consistent verb tense usage and article placement will significantly improve your accuracy.
