Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary society, professions such as doctors and engineers play a crucial role in the development of society. While a segment of people believed that they should work in the country where they did their training, others strongly oppose this notion. This essay will look at both sides of an argument and discuss my personal opinion.
To commence with, some people argue that they should work in their own countries. Individuals such as doctors or engineers should serve their own nation because they have completed their desired degree from their institutes. Moreover, their citizens want a reputable healthcare doctor or engineer to pursue their career by serving their own community; it will proliferate the economic rate of a country. The more they look after their society, the more their nation will flourish, and it will also decrease the unemployment ratio. For example, every society wants their own people to work in an organization because they have built their undergraduates' future with a lot of dedication and hard work and want their individuals to return it by providing valuable support and cooperation by working in their own industries.
On the other hand, people claim that their own states are not capable of providing a good remuneration, which they deserve. People move overseas in order to generate a good income to support their families. Furthermore, young generations nowadays believe that other countries provide wider opportunities and incentives as compared to their own nation, and they can learn more to broaden their horizons. For instance, countries like the USA, Canada, and Australia are the powerful nations, and they are revolving around numerous technologies, and they want their learners to explore in a better way and also by providing with good wages, which motivates their reputable doctors and engineers.
Furthermore, I personally believe that everyone should have the equal opportunity to pursue their career in any part of the world. People from these professions should be free to work anywhere so that they can learn more about their fields and make them capable of building their confidence by working in other countries.
To sum up, a person should be free to serve any nation where they get more valuable advantages, such as with perks and incentives so that they can do more hard work and show keen interest to pursue their career in a more well-organized way without any restrictions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefits of domestic service versus the personal and professional growth gained from working abroad. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the argument regarding 'reputable' doctors and engineers is mentioned multiple times without adding significant depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating the same concepts in different words. The position is consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence '...and they want their learners to explore in a better way', where the antecedent for 'they' is unclear. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You demonstrate an ability to use topic-specific terms like 'remuneration', 'incentives', and 'proliferate'. However, there are some instances of awkward collocation or word choice, such as 'reputable healthcare doctor' (which is redundant) and 'revolving around numerous technologies' (which is an imprecise use of 'revolving'). While the range is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, there is a lack of more sophisticated or idiomatic language that would be expected at a higher band level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with article usage ('the economic rate of a country', 'the unemployment ratio') and subject-verb agreement. For example, 'a segment of people believed' should be 'believe' to maintain tense consistency. Additionally, some sentences are slightly clunky, such as '...by providing with good wages', which is grammatically incorrect. Despite these errors, they do not impede communication, and you show a decent grasp of sentence variety.
