Student answer (Band 5.5)

The professionals such as doctors and engineers if they leave the country is called brain drain and its vicious cycle for the country as they are the back bone for the country , where one handles the infrastructure ,buildings Electrical works ,Mechanical work ,Researches , defence researches and other aspects for the upliftment of the country and the other one job is health infrastructure , problem related to diseases & prevent them if both are in scaricity a huge problems arise. the developmental growth of the country is affected adversely because their presence implies and is directly propotional to the facilities in the country .For this the country they did their training in deserves the expertise of the potent candidates ,so they should not leave the country as it it the same country that made them to achieve the best level

For the opinion of the free will for the choice of leaving the country basically depends on many factors out of which the biggest one is opportunities ,If there are opportunities for both of the institution the thought of leaving the country decreases .The other factor is if the salary issue if the amount of money earned in the mother country is x and for the same work or opportunity the income is 3x the person tends to leave the country .The third factor is work life balance that is must for individual, The better the work life balance is the the better is health be it physical and mental. In my opinion both the scenarios are balanced,

If we will take the example for both the scenarios ,A person trained in country "0" but left for better opportunities which affected the country without thinking about it, the other one stayed sacrificing money and growth for its sake both had the choice and they made it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of 'brain drain' is repetitive and lacks specific, real-world examples to support the claims about infrastructure or health. The argument regarding 'free will' is also underdeveloped, relying on generic factors like salary and work-life balance without deep analysis. To improve, you should provide more concrete examples—such as mentioning specific countries or industries—and ensure your position is more clearly integrated throughout the essay rather than just stated at the end.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. Sentences are often run-on or lack clear logical connectors, making the progression of ideas difficult to follow. For example, the first paragraph is a single, long, and fragmented block of text that jumps between different concepts without clear transitions. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'the other one' or 'the other factor'. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'conversely') and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'upliftment of the country' and 'directly propotional'. You also rely on basic vocabulary to describe complex concepts, such as 'huge problems arise' or 'the biggest one is opportunities'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of academic collocations and the presence of errors in word formation (e.g., 'scaricity') limit the score. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to economics and professional migration would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are significant issues with punctuation, particularly the misuse of commas and the lack of full stops, leading to run-on sentences. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent (e.g., 'the professionals such as doctors', 'the better is health'). While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty or poorly punctuated. To improve, focus on sentence boundaries—ensuring each sentence has a clear subject and verb—and proofread specifically for basic errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
