Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are different views on people's mind about the professionals work place in future. Some people argue that professionals, like doctors and engineers should work in their own country where they finish their training. In contrast, others opinion is to free them to work in another country if they wish. In my propective, I agree that professionals should work in their country first.

There are number of reasons why I agree with the statement. The first thing everyone consider is that, the government spend lots of money on training to prepare doctors and engineers to serve the country. For example, government created medical and engineering institution for professionals to ensure better education. The educational institutions are organized by public tax,so the people had the right to ensure good wealth from those institutions. Furthermore, professionals aslo take oath to serve the country and help the people by doing their own job. So they aslo have the responsibility to fulfill their oath.

On the other hand, every people had a freedom to lead their life by their own choice. In addition, if someone had the opportunity to earn more and also lead a beautiful life, they had the freedom to do what they want. For example, many multinational organization offers good amount of money and other facilities by work for them.

In conclution, everyone has their own opinion, But in my prospective, I would say that professionals have their freedom to choose, on the other side they have the huge responsibility to serve their country. Government create environment and people pay tax for their education. so they have the moral oath to help the people of their own country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention government funding and personal freedom, the arguments could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the point about 'multinational organizations' is a good start but lacks detail on how this impacts the home country's economy or the professional's career trajectory. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the 'why' behind your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'the people had the right to ensure good wealth from those institutions'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall readability of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'good amount of money' and 'beautiful life'. There are also some word choice errors, such as 'propective' (perspective) and 'wealth' (which does not fit the context of public services). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic collocations and less common vocabulary. For example, instead of 'good amount of money', consider 'lucrative remuneration' or 'competitive salary packages'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every people had', 'government create environment') and article usage. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'There are different views on people's mind about the professionals work place'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic tense consistency and pluralization would significantly improve your accuracy.
