Student answer (Band 6.0)
While some people think that individuals, from background such as medical and engineering should only be allowed to do practice in the country where they pursued their degree. Whereas, others believe that they should not be forced to work in the country where they did their training but should have the freedom to work in other country if they wish. I believe that professionals such as doctors and engineers should be allowed to serve wherever they are given better opportunity and respect.
On the one hand, government provides scholarship for young talents to pursue their dream career without letting the student feel the burden of finance. Furthermore, these students who receive scholarships through their merit should be required to serve their country. As said, governments heavily invest in these scholarships where students can get the best the college and can have access to latest technologies which assist them to excel in their field. Providing this opportunity to grads, serving their nation though shall be mandatory.
On the other hand, highly skilled labours who choose to work in another country have their own reasons. Firstly, highly skilled individuals choose to work in another because they have better opportunity to earn. For example, wages of doctors and engineers are comparatively higher in USA when compared in India. Secondly, people choose to work in another nation is because the work they do is highly respected. For instance, in some parts of the world, even if you are a doctor or an engineer are either not paid enough or not respected enough. Due to this reasons skilled people choose to have a career in another country.
To conclude, skilled individuals shall be required to serve their nation for a specific period of time if they receive a scholarship, and should have the freedom of choosing to work in another territory if they are given better opportunity and respect.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both perspectives and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of government-funded scholarships and the disparity in global wages. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'respect' for professionals is mentioned but not fully explored with depth. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively synthesizes the two views. To reach a higher band, the student should aim to provide more nuanced examples and elaborate further on the implications of their arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, there are some instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'another country' or 'another nation'. Additionally, some sentences, particularly in the introduction, are fragmented, which slightly disrupts the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to convey their meaning clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'scholarships', 'merit', and 'highly skilled'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'do practice' instead of 'practice' and 'highly skilled labours' instead of 'professionals' or 'workers'. The repetition of basic phrases like 'work in another country' limits the range. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise synonyms and collocations related to professional migration and economic factors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. For example, the first paragraph contains a sentence fragment ('Whereas, others believe...'). There are also issues with article usage ('in USA', 'in India') and subject-verb agreement ('Due to this reasons'). While the student attempts complex structures, the control is inconsistent. Increasing the accuracy of basic grammar and refining the use of complex sentence forms would significantly improve the score.
