Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, though the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the 'property of the country' and 'modern states' are somewhat disjointed and lack clear supporting evidence or logical flow. The conclusion is vague, stating the author is 'totally satisfied with the opinion' without clearly summarizing the stance taken. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the connection between the points made and the prompt is sometimes tenuous, particularly regarding the mention of 'businessman' and 'youngsters' as professionals. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument that directly relates to the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is often difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand' and 'In conclusion', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a mechanical way that does not enhance the flow of the argument. For example, the transition 'While, several public consider' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the coherence. Referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to track the subject matter. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the clarity of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'individual' instead of 'individuals', 'occupation' used as a verb, and 'mobile' used to mean 'free to move'. Phrases like 'modern states' and 'authority sector' are imprecise. The repetition of words like 'massive amount' and 'various' suggests a limited range. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise vocabulary to express complex ideas. Avoid using words if you are not entirely sure of their meaning or grammatical function.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'individual is the property'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack the necessary complexity to demonstrate a wide range of structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary capitalization and missing commas. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement will help improve the accuracy of your writing significantly.
