Student answer (Band 5.5)

It often to argued that professionals, like doctors and engineers should staty at their country after their training. While others believe that authorities should be give them freedom to chose their destiations. This essay will discuss both and also give my own opinion.

on the one hand, there are some reasons why people want graduates should stay at their home country. First, government invest huge money for train them properly. Therefore, they must be give treatment at their country and help other individuals to learn skills. Moreover, some countries are poor and undevelopment . If in this countries graduates leave their home, as a result, the country will never grow up and become development. For example, if higher skilled engineers work at local comapnies then the company dont need to hierd foreing expert for their work and it also save money.

On the other hand , others believe that they should be free to work anywhere and i also agree with that they should be free to move another country if they want.Because, everyone want to lead better life and expected earn higher salary thats why expert moved to developed country .Moreover, some individuals go to developed country for learn higher skilled and also for their children better educations. As a result, when the expert came back from abroad after 5,10 years with better experience and higher skilled than they should be developed their with their skill.

In conclusion, although making professionals work in their training country has some benefits for the local community, I still think that freedom of choice is more important. Governments should give them better salaries so that they will want to stay willingly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention government investment and the need for local expertise, these points are not fully extended with specific, nuanced examples. The conclusion is relevant, but the overall depth of the discussion is restricted by the brevity of the arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by a more detailed explanation or a more concrete, illustrative example rather than relying on general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'on the one hand', 'moreover', and 'in conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by grammatical errors or awkward phrasing, such as 'Therefore, they must be give treatment at their country'. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall cohesion could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs are more smoothly connected.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'professionals', 'graduates', and 'developed country'. However, there are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'undevelopment' instead of 'underdeveloped', 'hierd' instead of 'hire', and 'foreing' instead of 'foreign'. These errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure you are using the correct word forms (e.g., nouns vs. adjectives) to convey your meaning more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone want'), incorrect verb forms ('must be give', 'should be developed their'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency of the text. To improve, pay closer attention to verb tenses, passive voice construction, and basic sentence structure to reduce the frequency of these slips.
