Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both sides of the argument, the discussion is underdeveloped and lacks depth. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which means the position is not fully established or maintained. To improve, ensure you provide more detailed examples and fully expand on your reasoning for each perspective. The current length prevents a thorough exploration of the topic, leading to a fragmented argument that does not fully satisfy the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive start. However, the logical progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence' and 'On the other hand,' but they are sometimes used mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of a finished conclusion disrupts the overall flow of the argument. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, fully developed topic sentence that leads logically into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'generate sales and revenue' and 'better package,' which are somewhat repetitive. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'comfortability' (comfort) and 'practice their work' (practice their profession). To improve, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary related to the topic of professional migration and labor markets. Expanding your range of synonyms and using more sophisticated word choices will help convey your ideas with greater clarity and impact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues like 'doctor and engineers... should be serve' and 'the main reason are same culture.' Additionally, there are errors with articles and pluralization, such as 'if a doctor want to built their hospital.' While the meaning is generally understandable, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limit the score. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage to improve your accuracy.
