Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's era of modern world, several people believes that doctors and engineers and other professionals should work in the country where they completed there studies, whereas others believe that they should have freedom to choose where they want to work and study according to there convenience. In my opinion, professionals should have freedom to choose there career path, ensuring that they get to enjoy opportunities.
There are several reasons behind the argument which supports the point that people should work in nation where they completed there studies, such as, increased number of immigrants, which increases competition for native people, resulting in decline in employment rate for native people. Furthermore, there are several political reasons which supports this argument, such as, political tensions between countries, conflicts between nations, etc.
However, there are several reasons which supports the statement that people should be allowed to work in other nations, as it provides more opportunities for people, higher paying jobs and better healthcare facilities and better living standards. There are several underdeveloped or developing countries which lacks these features, creating inconvenience for there citizens. Due to this reason, people prefer to work in other countries, rather than there native countries.
Therefore, it can be concluded that, there are several advantageous factors which are beneficial for professionals, such as doctors and engineers, as they will get better opportunities than there native countries, creating positive impact in longer run, however, its demerits should not be undermined as it creates more competitive environment for native citizen, as they will be replaced by immigrants.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'political tensions' is mentioned but not explained or linked back to the requirement for professionals to stay in their home country. Similarly, the discussion on the impact on native citizens is repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of the consequences of brain drain or the benefits of global mobility, rather than listing general points. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'However', and 'Therefore' to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the phrase 'There are several reasons' is used to start multiple paragraphs, which makes the writing feel formulaic. To improve, try to vary your transition signals and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that flows logically from the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'several reasons', 'better opportunities', and 'inconvenience'. There are also consistent errors with homophones, specifically the confusion between 'there', 'their', and 'they are' (e.g., 'completed there studies', 'there convenience'). These errors are frequent and detract from the professional tone of the essay. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and proofreading carefully to eliminate basic spelling and word-choice errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that impede the flow. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'several people believes' instead of 'believe' and 'countries which lacks' instead of 'lack'. Additionally, there are punctuation errors, such as the unnecessary use of commas after 'such as'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of complex sentence structures.
