Student answer (Band 6.0)
Doctors and engineers are highly rated professions, needed many years of education and training. Some people believe they should work in their own country, while other argue that they should also work in other countries according to their wish. This essay will discuss both these perspectives and present my opinion on this topic.
On the one hand, some people think doctors and engineers should work in their home country rather than other nations because they completed their education and training here that is why they are deeply integrated with society. Doctors have knowledge about diseases of that area and also familiar which issues help to spread that specific disease. Local engineers are also informed about which problems country currently face in architecture and production area and have better solutions according to society needs. Native doctors are also well aware about language, it makes easier for locals to communicate with them about their problems and get good treatment.
However, proponents of other side argue that doctors and engineers are free to work in any country according to their will because it is their basic human right that allows them to work anywhere within law limits. They also debate limiting doctors and engineers in their own country can also limit knowledge to spread as a result technological advancements in engineering and medical field can be slow down.
In my view, doctors and engineers should work in any country as it increases collaboration between professionals of different countries due to which language and social barrier surge down. It allows these professionals to work in different conditions and situations that increase their capabilities and at last it benefits the humanity.
In conclusion, the scope of doctors and engineers are way ahead than language and society. Some people think they should work in their own country but the benefits of working other countries overweigh the drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the importance of local knowledge for doctors and the benefits of international collaboration. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The arguments are presented clearly, but they could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. For instance, the point about 'technological advancements' is mentioned but not fully explored. The position is consistent throughout the essay, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0, but it lacks the depth of development required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand,' 'However,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'that is why they are deeply integrated' or 'proponents of other side.' The use of referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother to achieve a higher level of cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'integrated,' 'proponents,' and 'collaboration.' However, there are also some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'surge down' (instead of 'decrease' or 'diminish') and 'overweigh' (instead of 'outweigh'). The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but the lack of precision and occasional awkward phrasing limits the score to a 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'needed many years' (should be 'needing' or 'which need'), 'other argue' (should be 'others argue'), and 'which problems country currently face' (should be 'which problems the country currently faces'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of these minor errors in grammar and article usage prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The control of complex structures is present but inconsistent.
