Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have different opinions about where professionals like doctors and engineers should work after they finish their studies. Some people think they must work in the country where did their training, but others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish. In my opinion, I agree that they should have the rights to move another country, if , her country situation and state is bad.
There are reasons why some people want to stay and work in their home country. First, training a doctor or an engineer costs a lot of government money. Therefore, these professionals should stay to work and help their local people. Second, many poor countries do not have enough doctors and engineers. If all of them leave to go to richer countries, the local hospitals and buildings will not have enough good workers to run properly.
On the other hand, I believe that professionals should be allowed to move to another country. Everyone wants to have a better job, higher salary, and better life for their family, so they should have the chance to move. In addition, when these experts work abroad, they can learn many new skills and use advanced technologies. After a few years, they can come back home and use this knowledge to help their own country develop.
In conclusion, although if doctors and engineers work in their training country has some benefits for the local community, I think Governments should give them better salaries so that they will want to stay willingly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both viewpoints and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic burden of training and the personal desire for career advancement. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument about professionals returning home to help their country is a strong point but could have been expanded with a specific example or more detailed explanation. The position is consistent throughout, though the introduction is slightly repetitive in its phrasing. Overall, the essay provides a solid, balanced discussion that meets the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesive devices such as 'First', 'Second', 'On the other hand', and 'In addition' are used appropriately to link sentences and ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and basic. Paragraphing is used correctly, which helps the reader navigate the argument. To reach a higher band, the student should aim for more sophisticated transitions and a more varied range of cohesive devices to improve the flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task and allows the student to express their ideas clearly. There is some use of topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'advanced technologies' and 'local community'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on simpler, repetitive language. For example, the phrase 'better job, higher salary, and better life' is functional but lacks sophistication. There are no significant spelling errors, but the word choice is generally safe rather than precise. To improve, the student should incorporate more academic collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'where did their training' is missing a subject, and 'if , her country situation' contains punctuation and pronoun errors. Additionally, 'although if doctors and engineers work... has some benefits' is a structurally awkward sentence. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. The student should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of complex sentence structures to improve accuracy.
