Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals believe that professinals like doctors and engineers should work at that country where they completed their training. While others think that they have freedom to work anywhere. I partially agree professinals can choose thier own decisions. The narrative ahead shall articulate my view as well as both points in the paragraphs before reaching counclusion.

On the one side, some people says that experts such as doctors as well as engineers should work inside the country where they completed their study because goverments spend a lot of money on education and if professionals move to the rich countires government cannot recover that money even it increase the shortage of skilled person in the country. For example, developing countries may lose many professionals.

On the other side, many believe that experts should be free to select their workplace because other countries may offer better salaries, working conditions, career opportunity as well as advance technology. professionals who moved abroad can send money back to their families. Additionally, they can improve their skills and thier experience. For instance, professionals move to other country for work with advanced technology and gain valuable experience.

From my prespective, professionals should not be forced to remain in their training country because i believe freedom of career is more essential than forcing professionals to stay. However, governmnet can encourage them to stay by providing fair salary and advanced technology as well as better working condition.

In conclusion, both views have reasonable argument. Developed country deserve benefit from professionals. However, they have rights select their own work place. I would like to say governmnet can encourage them to stay.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that governments spend money on education and that professionals seek better salaries, these points are not fully extended with detailed analysis or nuanced examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a strong summary of the main arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough explanation of the 'why' behind the arguments, rather than just stating the facts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one side', 'On the other side', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise (e.g., 'that country' instead of 'the country'). The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'developing countries', 'advanced technology', and 'working conditions'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'professinals', 'thier', 'counclusion', 'prespective', 'governmnet') and some word choice issues, such as 'The narrative ahead shall articulate' which sounds unnatural. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic words and aim to incorporate more sophisticated collocations to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the country', 'a lot of money'), subject-verb agreement ('some people says'), and prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas in complex sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to ensure your writing is more accurate.
