Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, numerous professionals are choosing many paths to make better career and promising future. Some individuals consider that professionals such as doctors and engineers have to be required to work in their own native country where they completed their training like house jobs. While, other people argue that they must have freedom to work in abroad if they want. I strongly agree that if professionals go to abroad then they can make their careers more great because rich regions offer numerous opportunities.

In addition, some people think that doctors and engineers have to do work in their own country. They belielve that if professionals do work for their own country so their nations will become more develope by the help of their knowledge. Inviduals consider that such an engineers those completed their trainings in their own country so now they should do work to enhance the infrastructure of their native regions. For instance, doctors can make a massive contribution in this situation like doctors must need to help their own local people and even they have to improve health care centres.

In contrast, many people argue that all professionals have freedom to choose platforms. By this mean that doctors, engineers if they have wish to go abroad for their future then they can go easily. In today's world many countries are not able to offer good opportunities and they have such a large unemployment rate. So in these nations nobody can make a promising future. That's why professionals of such these countries should have full rights to go abroad. For instance, rich regions like Usa, Australia and United kingdom ofer numerous social platforms and chances to avail. These chances will make their careers better and good future.

Finally, from my perspective in all nations all people must have fully rights to choose their path because they will make people more productive. Beside this after becoming successful people may return to their countries and do work to enhance the development of regions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views (training obligations for national development versus individual freedom to migrate) and providing a clear personal position agreeing with the freedom to work abroad. The ideas are generally relevant, but the development tends to be repetitive and relies on basic generalisations rather than deep elaboration. For instance, the argument that professionals can 'make their careers more great' is somewhat limited in conceptual depth. However, the student covers the required elements successfully, which aligns well with a Band 6.0 performance, where all parts are addressed and a position is presented, even if some supporting arguments are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is divided into distinct paragraphs including an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. There is a logical overall arrangement. However, cohesion is often mechanical and awkward, as seen with transitions like 'While, other people argue' and 'By this mean that'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression within paragraphs is disrupted by repetitive phrasing. Paragraphing is used, but the internal flow lacks smoothness and flexibility. These features place the response firmly in Band 5.5 to 6.0. Given the clear paragraph structure and discernible logical sequence despite mechanical transitions, a Band 6.0 is appropriate.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate basic ideas about career progression and national development. However, there are frequent inappropriate word choices and collocations, such as 'promising future', 'house jobs', 'work in abroad', 'more great', and 'fully rights'. Spelling errors like 'belielve', 'develope', 'Inviduals', and 'ofer' are also present. While the student attempts less common vocabulary, the noticeable inaccuracies in word formation and collocation prevent the score from reaching Band 6.0. The lexical control reflects a Band 5.5 profile, where errors in word choice cause some strain and inaccuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if professionals go to abroad then they can make...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, featuring frequent errors in article usage, prepositional placement ('do work for their own country'), and verb forms ('doctors must need to help'). Sentences often lack structural precision, and punctuation errors are noticeable. Although communication is not entirely impeded, the high frequency of grammatical slips means that error-free sentences are not in the majority. This linguistic profile corresponds to a Band 5.0.
