Student answer (Band 4.0)
In this paragrapgh discuse about educated persons like engineerr and doctore they we trying to work in country and prefer to train the worker and earn money in country. while on the other same type of people was trying to work abroad and want earn money in short time they did not thing about degree job or not relate to the degree they always think that we earn money in short time but huge money for family setlement. i have one main example of my boss once upon a time in the statring journy he was start the career from uet as a teacher. and he think that this salary is not too much from my future and for my kids education. then he decide the work abroad and explore there buissness there and take idea from setteled country then he go aboad and when he come back from there .he was fully settteled and he start bussines here from the support of other country or personal relations and he also earn money and fully stand with money and now he is a good buisnessman and well settled in our country.this is the main eason people always prefered to work aborad and earn money and they make property and for the best future of our kids they spent time in abroad. so the conclusion is that currencey value and country condition always decide where he fall and where he make more strong future for family and for kids education level.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether professionals like doctors and engineers should work in their home country or abroad. However, the development of ideas is heavily constrained by severe language limitations. While the writer touches on both perspectives—training and contributing locally versus seeking better financial opportunities abroad—the position is muddled and lacks structured extension. Personal anecdotes are introduced, such as the example of the boss starting their career from 'uet', but the argument remains underdeveloped and difficult to follow. The response addresses the task only partially due to the lack of clear, logical progression and fully formed arguments, aligning closely with Band 4 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response suffers from major issues in cohesion and paragraphing. The entire essay is presented as a single, uninterrupted block of text without standard paragraph breaks. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, leading to a breakdown in logical progression. Sentences run together without appropriate punctuation or transition markers, making it very difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. For instance, transitions between the discussion of local work and the personal example of the boss are abrupt and confusing. Based on these characteristics, the response reflects Band 4, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
Vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent errors that place a heavy strain on the reader. Words are often misspelled or misused, such as 'paragrapgh', 'engineerr', 'doctore', 'statring', 'journy', 'buissness', 'aboad', and 'currencey'. There is very little control over word choice or collocation, and attempts at less common vocabulary result in confusing phrases like 'fully stand with money'. The range is restricted to simple, everyday terms which are frequently rendered inaccurate by spelling and morphological errors. This performance fits Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the text. There is a very limited range of structures, and complex sentences are either absent or constructed incorrectly with frequent errors that often distort meaning. Examples include 'educated persons like engineerr and doctore they we trying to work in country' and 'then he decide the work abroad'. Punctuation is almost entirely neglected, with run-on sentences and missing capitalisation at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns. Errors are pervasive and heavily impede communication, placing the response firmly at Band 4.
