Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that some people think that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training. While, others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish. I believe that they should do their work according to their choices for their best career in this essay i will discuss both viewpoints in my upcoming paragraphs.

On the one hand, there are valid arguements for why these professionals should be required to work in their own nation because it provide them achievements. The main arguement is that it provide better opportunities to them they can build their own business in their nation where they did their training from better insitutions and they do not have worries about their families to get separated from them . For instance , many people who work in the country where they did their training they get high knowledge and experiences. This indicates that tese fields have great accessbility to work in own nation.

On the other hand, I side with those who believes that they should be free to work in another country because they provide them better amenties and high wages. The primary reason is that work in forigen countries have technoligical advancement to get high paying salaries and many other resources. A clear example is that they opportunity to work in any place and they also get more knowledge abput pothers cultures and people who live in their nations, Therefore, international companies provide high amount of facilities to these fields candidates because they are the main profesionals.

In conclusion, although there are strong arguements on both sides, I am of the opinion that doctors and engineers should think where they can do their best and get more experience and success. because they have high qualifications which provide right path to follow and for their over well-being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on whether professionals should work in their training country or abroad, and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on the benefits of staying in the home country relies on vague points like 'provide better opportunities to them' without fully exploring societal or economic impacts. Similarly, the arguments for working abroad mention higher wages and technology, but lack depth. The student tends to over-generalize rather than fully extending and supporting their arguments with concrete examples. Overall, the task is addressed, placing the response in Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay has a recognizable overall structure with clear paragraphing, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. The opening sentence contains a problematic transition ('While, others believe...'), and phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used, but the internal logical progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the sentence 'Therefore, international companies provide high amount of facilities...' does not logically follow from the preceding sentence. Referencing is occasionally confusing, such as 'because they provide them better amenties', where the pronoun antecedent is ambiguous. These features align with Band 5.0 to 6.0, and the mechanical cohesion leans toward a solid 5.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms related to the topic such as 'professionals', 'technological advancement', and 'international companies'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'arguements' instead of 'arguments', 'insitutions', 'amenties' instead of 'amenities', 'forigen' instead of 'foreign', 'technoligical', and 'abput pothers cultures'. Furthermore, collocation is occasionally awkward, such as 'get high knowledge' or 'high amount of facilities'. These inaccuracies cause some distraction for the reader, though communication is not severely impeded. This vocabulary profile corresponds to Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capability to construct multi-clause sentences, such as 'While, others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues throughout the text, including comma splices, missing prepositions, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'where they did their training from', 'who believes' instead of 'who believe', and 'success. because they have...'). There are also awkward sentence fragments and run-on sentences in the conclusion. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of grammatical errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. This performance best fits Band 5.0.
