Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, it is often argued that it is very essential in some profession such as doctors and engineers that they have to work in the same nation where they complete their training. However, opponent oppose that and believe that they are free to choose their workplace country. This essay will scrutinize both the perspective along with my firm consideration that no one has right to force the individuals to follow their orders.

One major reason why this two professions need to work in same nation where they had once trained is government large spending. To explain it further, policy makers often spend large amount of funds on training of doctors and engineers and if the trained professionals moved to abroad for work so the country may loose their benefits of investment. Secondly, shortage of professionals, To elaborate this, nowadays developing countries may already have insufficient doctors and engineers and loosing their trained professionals can affect the healthcare and infrastructure of a country. This can create shortage of skills workers.

However, everybody has freedom to choose their carrier destination. To put it in other words, every profession has right to choose their carrier place and forcing them to remain in one country can restrict their personal and professional freedom. Moreover, they want a better carrier opportunity with better salary package and this may offer in another part of the world. Secondly, international exchange of skills and knowledge. To explain this, working abroad expose professionals to different technologies, method and working environment. Their they can also gain valuable experience and learn new skills.

From my perspective, i believe that no one can force somebody to work in same country where they had take training. They have right to work in another nation because their they can built international connections. To explain this further, they can create professionals connection between home country and other countries. Furthermore, working overseas provide higher exchange rate to own country currency which can send to families.

Conclusively, although former opinion opines that government has fund a large investment on training and if the professionals move so this can affect their infrastructure, healthcare and country economy. In my opinion no one can force anybody as they had right to choose the workplace for their future carrier plan and development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether professionals should work in their training country and providing a clear personal opinion. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are extended and supported, such as mentioning government spending on education and the international exchange of skills. However, there is a tendency to over-generalise in places, and some arguments lack deeper development or specific real-world examples, keeping the response at a Band 6 level for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and is divided into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each viewpoint and personal opinion, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, though they are sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as 'To explain it further,' 'Secondly,' and 'To put it in other words.' Referencing is generally clear, but paragraph transitions could be smoother. The structure supports the progression of ideas adequately, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'scrutinize,' 'infrastructure,' and 'international exchange.' However, there are noticeable word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'loose' instead of 'lose,' 'carrier' instead of 'career,' 'skills workers' instead of 'skilled workers,' and 'method' instead of 'methods.' These errors do not impede overall communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 6 due to frequent inaccuracies.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambitious structures like relative clauses and conditional ideas. However, there are numerous grammatical errors throughout the essay, including missing prepositions, subject-verb agreement issues ('this two professions'), incorrect verb tenses ('where they had take training'), and awkward phrasing ('no one has right to force'). These errors occur frequently, though they rarely impede general comprehension, placing the performance solidly within Band 5.
