Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0

The student has attempted to address the prompt by expressing a clear opinion that professionals like doctors and engineers should be free to work anywhere. However, the response fails to discuss both views as required by the task, focusing only on the writer's personal stance. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the response contains only 85 words compared to the minimum of 250 words. This severe under-length prevents any meaningful development of ideas or examples, resulting in a low band score under Task Achievement descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response is presented as a single continuous block of text without proper paragraphing, which fails to organise the ideas logically. Cohesive devices are largely absent, relying instead on comma splices and run-on sentences, such as 'if they are getting an opportunity to express there skills, upgrade their skills, get recoganized they should work their, that place might his home country'. There is no clear progression of thought, making the overall arrangement difficult to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with several spelling errors ('wolrd', 'tkaen', 'recoganized') and word choice inaccuracies ('skills matters more'). While the student attempts to use some topic-related vocabulary such as 'engineers', 'doctors', and 'graduate', the limited range and frequent errors severely restrict the precision of the writing and occasionally strain the reader's understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical structure is severely limited and problematic. The text consists of poorly constructed, lengthy run-on sentences linked incorrectly by commas rather than appropriate conjunctions or full stops. There are persistent punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('i strongly believe'). Complex structures are absent, and the frequent basic errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader.
