Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people argues that professionals such as doctors should be required to work in their country where they studied. On the other hand, some people think that they should be free to work any where they want. From my opinion, professionals should be free to go any where.
Firstly, why people think that professionals must work in their country? Professionals such as doctors, scientists and engineers plays an important role in the development of our country. Without their role in our nation, it can become weak. For example, if professionals will continue to go aboard for work, no body will here to work great. That's why these people think that professionals should be required to work in their country.
In accordance to other people that think that professionals should be free to move or work at their own choice. I also supported their idea because it is a human right to work at his own choice. Government should give all our rights instead of making restriction. We can motivate any body to stay at their country but can't stop them forcefully. For example, if student is not interested in science subject like biology, he can't get good marks in exams forcefully.
To sum up, professionals are very crucial for the development of our country but they are independent. Government should not required to work in the country where they did their training. It is their own choice where to work. But government should motivate children to work in their own country rather than work in other country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether professionals should be required to work in their home country and provides a clear personal opinion. The writer establishes a position from the beginning that professionals should be free to work anywhere. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, relying on repetitive arguments and basic examples, such as comparing career choices to a student studying biology. While the general stance is clear throughout, the support remains at a surface level, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Overall, it satisfies the basic requirements of addressing the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, using introductory, body, and concluding paragraphs appropriately. However, cohesion is often faulty and mechanical. The writer relies on basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'To sum up', but referencing is frequently unclear, particularly in phrases such as 'In accordance to other people that think...' and 'Without their role in our nation, it can become weak.' Paragraphing is present, but logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by awkward transitions and repetitive sentence patterns.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and adequate only for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'development', 'professionals', and 'independent', but this is offset by noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, including 'From my opinion' instead of 'In my opinion', 'go aboard' instead of 'go abroad', and 'no body will here to work great'. Spelling and word formation errors, such as 'every where' written as 'any where' and 'no body' as 'no body', occur frequently. These errors do not severely impede overall communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Some people argues', 'professionals... plays'), incorrect verb tenses ('if professionals will continue', 'Government should not required'), and prepositional errors ('in accordance to'). Although the meaning can generally be deciphered, the high frequency of basic structural errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader and prevents the writing from achieving a higher band.
