Student answer (Band 5.0)

MOST OF THE INDIVIDUALS CHOOSE TO STUDY ON ABROAD FOR BETTER OPPORTUNITIES. IT IS ARGUED THAT PROFESSIONAL JOBS SUCH AS DOCTORS AND ENGINEERS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY WHILE OTHER BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE THEIR OWN CHOICE TO WORK IN OTHER COUNTRY. I WILL DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS IN THIS ESSAY.

TO COMMENCE WITH, THERE ARE SEVERAL SUPPORTIVE POINTS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. THE MOST PROMINENT POINT IS, INCREASE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. TO EXPLAIN IT, I BELIEVE THAT PROFFESSIONAL WORKERS SHOULD PREFER WORK IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY SO IT BOOSTING THEIR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY. MOREOVER, THEY SHOULD INVEST THEIR MONEY IN EDUCATION OR HEALTH CARE DEPARTMENTS. FOR EXAMPLE, THEY ALSO INVEST THEIR INCOME FOR PROVIDE FREE EDUCATION OR TRAINING TO LOCAL INDIVIDUALS. HOWEVER, PROFESSIONAL JOBS INFLUENCE YOUNGSTERS AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO BECOME DOCTORS AND ENGINEERS.

ON THE OTHER HAND, THERE ARE NUMEROUS BENEFICIAL POINTS. THE MAIN POINT IS, MORE OPPORTUNITIES. MOST INDIVIDUALS GO ABROAD TO STUDY TO GET BETTER WORK OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION, IN OTHER COUNTRIES FOR PROFESSIONALS THEY PROVIDE BETTER FACILITIES AND INCOME, FOR EXAMPLE, THEY LEARN NEW SKILLS AND GOOD WORK EXPERIENCE OF WORK AND THEY ALSO PROVIDE GOOD SALARIES AND TRAVEL EXPENSES. THEREFORE, PEOPLE HAVE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WORK IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY OR IN ANOTHER COUNTRY.

IN CONCLUSION, AFTER TAKING ALL THE ASPECTS IN MY CONSIDERATION, I WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIZE THAT IT HAS VALID POINTS. ALTHOUGH,THEY WORK IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY IT BENEFITING LIKE INCREASING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INVEST IN EDUCATION OR HOSPITALS FOR BETTER TREATMENT. I BELIEVE THAT, INDIVIDUALS HAVE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WORKPLACE IN ABROAD THEY HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITIES LIKE LEARNING NEW SKILLS.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both views regarding whether professionals should be required to work in their training country or be free to move, and states an opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding economic development is introduced ("INCREASE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT") but lacks detailed support or concrete examples, relying instead on vague statements like "invest their money in education or health care departments." Furthermore, the student's personal position is slightly unclear or underdeveloped throughout the body paragraphs, only crystallizing weakly in the conclusion. Overall, the task is addressed, but ideas require fuller extension and clearer positioning to reach a higher band. This corresponds to Band 5.5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which provides a basic overall structure. However, paragraphing and referencing are sometimes awkward, and cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately (e.g., starting body paragraphs with "TO COMMENCE WITH" and "ON THE OTHER HAND" works, but transitional phrases like "TO EXPLAIN IT" and "IN ADDITION" feel unnatural and repetitive). Logical progression is hindered by choppy sentence structures and unclear pronoun referencing, such as when shifting between professionals and host countries. While there is an attempt at organization, the lack of smooth transitions and clear progression places this at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate basic ideas about career choices and migration, featuring terms like "professional jobs," "economic development," and "opportunities." However, the range is limited, and there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors, such as "STUDY ON ABROAD" instead of "study abroad," "PROFFESSIONAL WORKERS SHOULD PREFER WORK" instead of "prefer working," and "good work experience of work." There are also spelling errors like "PROFFESSIONAL." These inaccuracies and the repetitive use of basic vocabulary restrict the score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak throughout the essay. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ("while other believe"), incorrect preposition usage ("in another country" versus "abroad"), and faulty infinitive/gerund structures ("invest their income for provide"). Additionally, the entire essay is written in uppercase letters, which violates standard punctuation norms and affects the overall presentation. Complex structures are often faulty, causing some difficulty for the reader and placing this firmly at Band 5.0.
