IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Here are different perspectives about professionals' work country like someone says that they should work there where they get training and other ones believe they can go to any other country to do job even if they got training in their home country. I agree with the second perspective where they say workers can do work flexibly at any site. But we will discuss both opinions with the examples.

First of all we will talk about the persons think workers should do work when they trained themselves. And to some extent their thinking is not bad at all. As you know every country has their own rules and regulations for example: Pakistan is a country where there are not highly strict laws as Gulf countries have so when a doctor or engineer go towards those countries he or she will face consequences. But it is one sided picture, there are drawbacks of it because when you stuck at one side or area you will not get evolve and this is why they will be struggle in the future.

But on the other hand there is something we also need to talk and it is the lack of opportunities and work environment as well. For example: As we know for better opportunities profession from Pakistan especially young doctors are moving to other European countries because there are nothing for their future no salaries not bonuses and the environment is also too bad. And this is not just about Pakistan many developing countries have the same situation. One more example is from United States of America where almost half of the professions are immigrants or non-immigrants which tells you how important for USA the immigrants are.

In short, yes you will be face difficulties if you got training from other side and working other but it is a matter of time like it will take more than 2 years and you will adjust in that environment and this is why I agreed with this.
