Student answer (Band 4.5)
Several individuals think that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to employment in their hometown where they did their practice. But others have a thought they should be free to work in diferent countries if they want.
To begin with this point both ways are good in their place because both have many facilities in its culture and also provided to individuals but it depends upon a teenager if he want to work in their homeland or in another country. Working as a professional in another country provide you better facilities than your own country such as healthy environment, better treatments, good behaviours.
Moreever, working in other country not provide you only these facilities but also good jobs and good salaries to survive. An crucial point is that numerous individuals move another country to spend a good life. Your child's also obtain good study. You can also obtain a lot of experience, information also a knowledge which you don't get in your own country.
Furthermore, in my opinion, its better way to travel another country instead of working your own country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses the task only minimally, as it fails to reach the required minimum word count of 250 words, stopping short at 184 words. While the student attempts to discuss both views regarding professionals working in their home country versus abroad and briefly states a personal opinion in the final sentence, the ideas are very limited and underdeveloped. For instance, the discussion on why professionals migrate relies on repetitive assertions about getting 'good jobs' and 'good salaries' without providing fully extended supporting arguments or concrete examples as requested by the prompt. To move to a higher level, the writer must write at least the minimum required length and fully develop both sides of the argument with clear explanations and relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay displays an attempt at organisation with basic linking devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreever', and 'Furthermore'. However, information and ideas are not arranged in a fully coherent manner across the text. Paragraphing is present, but the body paragraphs lack clear overall progression, often leaping between related ideas without proper transitions. For example, jumping from environmental facilities to children's education and then to general experience within the same paragraph creates a disjointed flow. Pronoun referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as 'its culture' and 'its better way'. To improve, the writer needs to ensure logical sequencing of ideas and use cohesive devices more accurately to guide the reader smoothly through the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used throughout the essay is basic and repetitive, utilizing high-frequency words and simple phrases such as 'good jobs', 'good salaries', and 'good life'. There are noticeable lexical errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, including 'required to employment', 'diferent countries', 'a thought', and 'move another country' instead of moving to another country. Spelling mistakes are also present, such as 'Moreever' and 'diferent'. These limitations mean the vocabulary is just about adequate to convey a basic message, but frequent inaccuracies strain comprehension. To achieve a higher score, the student should incorporate a wider and more precise range of vocabulary, demonstrating better control over collocations and less common lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures alongside faulty attempts at complex ones. Errors are frequent and often distort meaning or cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of grammatical inaccuracies include subject-verb agreement issues ('if he want', 'Your child's also obtain'), missing prepositions ('work in diferent countries', 'travel another country'), and incorrect verb forms ('not provide you only these facilities'). Punctuation and article usage are also weak throughout the response. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of grammatical structures and significantly improve grammatical accuracy by paying close attention to verb tenses, plurals, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns.
