Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argue that professional work force such as doctors and engineers, should work in their home country where they completed their training. While, the others believe that should have the freedom to work in aboroad. In my opinion, professionals such as doctors and engineers should contribute to their home countires because their is a goverment investments in their education. For instance, In my country professional education is fully funded by the goverment. Therefore, professional should have some responsibility towards their nation.
On one hand, The main reason why i support this view is that professionals should have some responsibility towards their nation where they did their training because it reduce shortage of professional. For example, there are many remote areas where there are empty workforce in the hospitals.Nevertheless, Professionals can minimize the shortage by voluntering in remote areas. In addition, professional gain some experience in their nation, which will beneficial to them before applying for abroad.
On the other hand, professional should be free to work in abroad because their want to get some experience in abroad country advantageous for their future. Although, their are many drawbacks such as homesickness and anxitey while working in abroad. However, their motive is to earn high salaries which is only possible in another country.
In conclusion, although professionals working abroad is their right of freedom and their are many benefits working in abroad such as higher salaries and professional knowledge, I believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers should have responsibility towards their nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that professionals should stay and that they should be free to work abroad—and provides a clear position throughout. However, the ideas are limited and somewhat repetitive, which restricts further development. For instance, the argument regarding government investment is repeated across the introduction and body paragraphs without being extended into deeper implications. Similarly, the points about remote areas and earning high salaries are mentioned briefly but lack specific elaboration or robust supporting examples from your own knowledge. To move to a higher level, you should expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and fully developed supporting points rather than restating the same core idea.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents some basic organization with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs, and the conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the logical flow between sentences feels mechanical due to repetitive and sometimes awkward transitional devices, such as starting multiple sentences with 'On one hand,' 'On the other hand,' 'Although,' and 'However.' Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in phrases like 'While, the others believe that should have the freedom' where pronouns are missing. To achieve a higher score, you need to ensure a smoother, more natural progression of ideas and use a wider variety of cohesive devices more accurately without overusing contrast markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. You attempt some less common words, but these attempts are frequently marred by word choice, word form, and spelling errors, such as 'aboroad' instead of abroad, 'goverment' instead of government, 'countires' instead of countries, 'voluntering' instead of volunteering, and 'anxitey' instead of anxiety. Furthermore, some phrasings are unnatural, such as 'professional work force' instead of workforce and 'work in abroad' instead of work abroad. These noticeable errors occasionally cause difficulty and strain for the reader. To improve, you need to expand your vocabulary range and focus heavily on accurate word forms, spelling, and standard collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often faulty and contain frequent grammar errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. For example, there are noticeable issues with subject-verb agreement and articles, such as 'It is often argue that' instead of argued, 'professional should have some responsibility' where a plural noun is needed, and 'their is a goverment investments' instead of there is government investment. Punctuation and clause structures also need better control, particularly with misused transition words acting as subordinating conjunctions. To reach a higher standard, you must increase your range of error-free complex structures and carefully proofread for basic grammatical agreements.
