Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued by some that professional fields, such as doctors and engineers should be needed to duty in the own nation where they did their internships or training as local communities often suffer from shortage of professional workers as well as government often provide subsidize to higher education. Others opine that they have freedom to work in another country if they want because the lack of facilities or opportunities in professional fields where they graduated. This essay will discuss both the points of view before explaining my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some individuals believe that professional workers required to work in the same country where they get a training. One key reason is that local communities often suffer an acute shortage of doctors and engineers, especially in rural areas. To be more precise, rural hospitals and infrastructure projects are suffering from a lack of doctors and enginners. Besides this, higher education in medicines and engineering is heavily subsidized by public taxprayers. In other words, if government invests some society funds on developing the facilities and infrastructures, which can be beneficial for professional workers who gain experiences and skills for their duties during training period. Consequently, number of people think that professional workers should be required to work in the home country and serve their duites among the local people.
On the other hand, others advocate that they should be free to work in other nations where they want. If the home country provides lower amount of salaries package, then they are moved to abroad for higher salaries to improve their lifestyles. Apart from this, gaining global experience and develop advanced skills from developed countries. In other words, in today's time, the advanced technological machines and instruments have been introduced for better productivity and improves the practical knowledge in a particular department. That's why many professional workers are moving to other country for improving their knowledge in both terms, theoretical and practical.
In conclusion, although preventing talent loss and invest society's funds in the right ways are more suitable, restricting human freedom, which cannot be an ideal solution. I support the balanced approach due to national authority develop some kinds of facilities in professional fields and preventing the loss of talent as well as being a favorable way to avoid the shortage of doctors and engineers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that professionals should stay and that they should be free to move—while also presenting a clear overall position in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is uneven, placing the response in the mid-range. For instance, while the points about rural shortages and public subsidies are relevant, the argument regarding the freedom to work abroad is somewhat repetitive, focusing heavily on salaries and better training facilities without fully extending the broader socio-economic implications. Furthermore, some supporting ideas lack specific examples from the writer's own knowledge or experience, remaining somewhat generalized throughout the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical structure divided into introduction, body paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, cohesion at times feels mechanical or faulty due to repetitive transition phrases and awkward referencing. For example, expressions like 'To be more precise' and 'In other words' are overused or slightly misapplied to link sentences, and referencing pronouns occasionally becomes unclear, such as the ambiguous subject reference in sentences like 'Others opine that they have freedom to work... because the lack of facilities.' Progression is evident, but the flow between sentences could be smoother with more varied cohesive devices.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully communicating the main arguments despite limitations. The writer attempts less common lexical items, such as 'subsidized', 'infrastructure', and 'productivity', but these attempts are often accompanied by inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form. Examples include phrases like 'duty in the own nation', 'provide subsidize', 'salaries package', and 'moved to abroad'. Additionally, grammatical forms of words are occasionally misused, such as 'taxprayers' and 'improves' instead of infinitive forms after modal structures. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score, preventing the use of a wider and more precise range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, attempting various subordinate clauses and conditional patterns. However, there are frequent grammatical errors in sentence formation, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions. Examples include 'professionals, such as doctors and engineers should be needed to duty', 'government invests some society funds', and 'national authority develop some kinds of facilities'. Errors also appear in dependent clauses, such as 'because the lack of facilities'. While these errors rarely completely impede communication and the basic meaning remains understandable, they occur with enough frequency across different structures to reflect a mid-range control of grammar and punctuation.
