Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is an ongoing debate wheather doctors and engineers should work in their same country where they have completed the degree and training or they should move to other countries and work freely. People have mixed and various opinions about this rising issue. This essay will discuss both aspects and provide the conclision.
Firstly, one group believe that doctors and engineeres should stay in their own country and serve their own people. The main reason for this thought is boost in economy, no language dificulties and same technological advancements. If these professionals will decide to stay in their own country then they will not face any language problems. In case of engineers the same technologies will be used to do major constructions and they do not have to master multiple techniques.
On the other hand, some individuals believe that they should move abroad and work independently in other countries to contribute in their economy and provide servies. Skills should not have the boundries and limits, for the better opportunities they can move to other countries. Sometimes people from these profession go to other countries for better work opportunities and to improve their life style. Financial benefits are also connected to this move for doctors and engineers. Most of the times they find better technologies to impliment their skills and knowledge.
In my opinion, engineers and doctors should think about their career development in their own country. People from these professions are considered the public servents who work for the betterment of their folks. They should polish their skills in the country from they have got the education and training.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether professionals should stay or move abroad, and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, some ideas remain under-developed or general. For instance, the reasons given for staying, such as 'boost in economy' and 'same technological advancements', are introduced briefly without sufficient extension or concrete examples. Similarly, the counter-argument regarding moving abroad covers financial benefits and better work opportunities, but these points lack deeper elaboration. The position is clear throughout, but to reach a higher level, the main arguments require further support, explanation, and specific illustration from general knowledge.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Each paragraph has a clear central topic: the introduction outlines the debate, the first body paragraph discusses staying in the home country, the second explores working abroad, and the final paragraph states the personal opinion. Paragraphing is used appropriately. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'In my opinion' are employed to structure the text, though referencing and cohesive links are at times somewhat mechanical or repetitive. To achieve a higher standard, the transitions between sentences could be made more fluid and natural, avoiding formulaic phrasing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully communicating the writer's ideas, but the range is limited. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'technological advancements', 'betterment of their folks', and 'career development', but these are accompanied by noticeable word choice and spelling errors, such as 'wheather' instead of 'whether', 'conclision' instead of 'conclusion', 'impliment' instead of 'implement', and 'servents' instead of 'servants'. Collocations are sometimes awkward, for instance, 'in their same country' or 'provide servies'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips occasionally distract the reader, keeping the vocabulary at a basic to moderate level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response exhibits a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied structures. However, frequent grammatical errors are present, particularly with articles, prepositions, and verb patterns. Examples include 'in their same country where they have completed the degree', 'one group believe' instead of 'believes', 'from the country from they have got' where the relative clause is flawed, and 'boundries and limits'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of grammatical slips in complex structures means that simple sentences are often more reliable. To improve, the writer needs greater accuracy in control of relative clauses, subject-verb agreement, and preposition usage within grammatical patterns.
