Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate over whether, individuals of specific occupations such as doctors and engineers should reside into their home country where they recieved their training, while some people opine that, they might get freedom to choose the location according to their preference.I am strongly agree with the later viewpoint and there will be discussion on both standpoints with suitable example.
To begin with, professionals such as doctors and engineers must serve their own country due to their civic responsibilities as well as moral principles. To explain it, government provide huge funding to medical and engineering students which mainly stems from ordinary people's tax and revenue. In addition, these employments have some moral obligations to invest their service toward human welfare. For instance, many medical professionals of Bangladesh provide free health services in rural areas. As a result, these professions are considered as highly respectable in local community. So, for fulfilling responsibilities toward community and being a respectable citizen, doctors and engineer must choose their home country.
On the other hand, medical and engineering graduates should choose foreign countries for numerous reasons.Firstly, in abroad these two sectors are highly paid rather than their home countries. Additionally, social security is comparatively better in developed country that lead to a secured and stable life.Hence, if any one has the scope to pursue an employment in another country which would be more convenient in terms of job security and status or position; he should avail this opportunity. For instance, currently engineering graduates of developing countries are more eager to secure employment in Europe or United States. So ,it's my firm believe that, if a medical and engineering graduate is allowed to choose the workplace destination, more productivity can be achieved through their service, as they are mentally and economically satisfied due to this freedom.
To conclude, despite the fact of conducting responsibilities toward nation and holding a position in local community, I believe that, if any healthcare professional or enginneer have intention to settle down in foreign country for earning handsome salary and higher status,he should act according to his wish.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that professionals should stay in their home country and that they should be free to work abroad—and presents a clear position throughout. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For example, the arguments regarding moral obligations and government funding in the second paragraph are supported with a relevant example from Bangladesh, but the points about financial benefits and social security in the third paragraph tend to over-generalise and remain slightly under-developed. To reach a higher level, all supporting arguments would need to be extended with greater depth and thorough explanation without relying on broad generalisations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, logical progression throughout. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, the two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in repetitive transitional phrases such as "To begin with" and "On the other hand," alongside occasional minor referencing issues. While cohesive devices are present, they are occasionally used rigidly rather than naturally. To improve further, the writer should employ a wider and more flexible variety of cohesive ties and ensure smoother transitions between sentences and ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as "civic responsibilities," "human welfare," and "social security." However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word formation, such as "recieved" (spelling), "employments" used instead of employees or jobs, and phrases like "in abroad." These errors do not impede communication, as the reader can easily grasp the intended meaning. To achieve a higher score, the vocabulary range should be used with greater precision, demonstrating a more sophisticated control of collocations and entirely accurate spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response makes use of a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at complex structures such as conditional clauses and relative clauses. There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including missing articles, faulty subject-verb agreement (e.g., "government provide"), incorrect prepositions (e.g., "reside into"), and minor punctuation spacing errors. Importantly, these errors are relatively infrequent and rarely impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the arguments easily. To move beyond this level, the writer needs to produce a higher frequency of error-free sentences using a wider variety of complex structures with tighter grammatical control.
