Student answer (Band 5.5)
A profession is a specialized field of work that require formal education and training .Few individuals opine that professionals , like doctor, and engineers, should be required to work in the nation where they did there training. Other think that should free for work in another nation if they wish. I, however, will discuss both views and give my viewpoint in the following paragraphs.
To commence with, doctors and engineers should work on their nation because it boost nation's gross domestic product. As a result, the country will be develop and government will able to spend money on healthcare center, academics studies, and primary sector .For instance, doctors can improve medical facilities as well as life expectancy. While, engineers provide beneficial ideas to people like how can people improve heir skills and techniques. Another point is that, because of brain drain professionals are migration from one nation to another nation because there are not only numerous high paying jobs but also first class provisions, while in their nation, there are not quite a lot doctors or engineers. Consequently, country can suffer from different kind of issues such as people can suffers from diseases as well as it can be face financial problems.
On the other hand, individual should free to work in another country because it helps them to learn about different culture, religion and numerous things. In addition, professionals want to work in high-paying jobs because they can earn significant amount of money.
In my opinion and conclusion, i believe that people should work in their own country because they can help in nation's development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on professionals working in their home country or abroad and providing an opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about boosting gross domestic product is stated broadly without sufficient explanation or specific real-world examples, relying instead on generalized assertions. The writer's position is discernible throughout the essay, but some points lack clarity, such as the muddled reasoning surrounding brain drain. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to fully extend and support ideas with more specific explanations and concrete examples rather than relying on brief, repetitive statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some overall organization with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the transitions between sentences feel somewhat mechanical. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often repetitive or inaccurately applied, such as the heavy reliance on transitional phrases like 'To commence with' and 'Another point is that'. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with pronoun usage like 'Other think that should free for work', which creates confusion for the reader. Paragraphing is attempted, but ideas within the paragraphs are not always logically grouped or smoothly connected. Improving this area requires a wider variety of cohesive devices used with greater precision and a clearer logical flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'specialized', 'gross domestic product', and 'expectancy', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and spelling. Examples include 'require' instead of 'requires', 'doctor' instead of 'doctors', 'there' instead of 'their', and 'migration' instead of 'migrating'. Additionally, some phrases are awkward or unnatural, such as 'first class provisions' and 'beneficial ideas'. These errors sometimes cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control of word forms and collocations. To advance, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire and ensure greater accuracy in spelling and word choice.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex sentences. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('A profession... require', 'government will able'), missing articles ('boost nation's gross domestic product', 'country will be develop'), incorrect prepositions, and faulty verb forms ('individual should free', 'people can suffers'). Punctuation errors are also present, such as unnecessary commas separating subjects from verbs ('professionals , like doctor, and engineers'). These frequent errors disrupt the flow of reading and can cause difficulty for the reader. A stronger performance would require a wider variety of error-free complex structures and much tighter control over basic grammar.
