Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on whether professionals should work in their training country and provides a personal opinion. However, the task is only partially addressed because the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about international experience is mentioned briefly without sufficient explanation or specific examples of how it benefits the home country. The position is stated, but the lack of fully elaborated arguments and support keeps the response at this level. Additionally, 8 words copied from the prompt were not counted towards the minimum length, though the overall response comfortably exceeds the word requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall organisation. However, there is a lack of clear progression throughout the essay, particularly in the concluding sentence which trails off into a fragmented structure. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently repetitive or mechanical, such as the repeated reliance on transitional phrases like 'Furthermore' and 'However'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from run-on sentences and unclear referencing, such as 'some of them that state government...' which disrupts the logical flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas about professionals migrating. There are noticeable errors in word choice, form, and collocation that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'engineer' instead of the plural 'engineers', 'thier', 'internationl', and 'zeals'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'adequate attention' and 'acquire international experience', but these are often awkwardly phrased or contain spelling inaccuracies that reveal a lack of precise control over lexical features.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer uses a limited range of structures, relying mostly on long, cumbersome sentences joined by coordinating or subordinating conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentence forms are frequently faulty, leading to grammatical errors in verb forms, tense consistency, and prepositions. Examples include 'doctor that want to migrate', 'When they are allow', and the final sentence which lacks a main verb and reads as an incomplete dependent clause. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage persist throughout the text and occasionally cause strain for the reader.
