Student answer (Band 5.0)

The question of whether professionals like doctors and engineers should be mandated to work in the country where they received their training or have the freedom to work internationally elicits diverse opinions.

Advocates for mandatory local service argue that professionals owe a debt to the communities that supported their education. They contend that requiring individuals to work in their home country ensures that the skills and knowledge gained during training are directly applied to address local needs. This approach is seen as a way to address shortages of skilled professionals in certain regions, particularly those underserved or in need of specific expertise. Mandatory service is also perceived as a means of giving back to the community that invested resources in the individual's education.

On the other side of the spectrum, proponents of profession freedomand enprayises that they can go anywhere because the hard work they have done we can give reward which they deserve. In another country if they perform good so we can help those professional people . Ensure to see that they are willing to proper willing or not. In my perspective they have to work in their country. These professionals help the country to grow for the future and make litrarrcy rate best in the future. These professions improve the econmy of the country.

In conclision every body have proper rights what they ever wanted to do. They have proper rights if they want to work in their country they can work here or if they want to move in another country they can. In my perspective they have to work in their own country to improve the skills for the rellvant.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You introduce both positions and give a clear preference for requiring professionals to work in their own country, especially in the final paragraph. The first view is supported with relevant reasons: local service could address shortages and repay communities that funded training. However, the opposing view is not explained clearly. The paragraph beginning “On the other side” contains difficult-to-follow claims about freedom and reward, without a developed reason or example. Your own position is also asserted more than explained; claims about helping the country grow and improving literacy need a clearer link to doctors and engineers. To strengthen the response, explain each side fully and support your opinion with a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The first body paragraph progresses logically from the idea of a debt to the community to addressing shortages. However, the second body paragraph combines the opposing view with your opinion, and its sentences are difficult to follow, so the overall progression breaks down. Phrases such as “On the other side of the spectrum” and “In conclision” signal transitions, but they cannot compensate for unclear links between ideas. The conclusion also repeats the preference without clearly resolving the discussion. Give each viewpoint a focused paragraph, use clear topic sentences, and connect each reason to its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some appropriate topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “mandatory local service,” “shortages of skilled professionals,” and “specific expertise.” These phrases show an ability to discuss the subject beyond very basic terms. However, the range is uneven, and several inaccurate or unclear expressions make the second half hard to understand, such as “profession freedomand enprayises” and “proper willing.” Spelling errors including “litrarrcy,” “econmy,” and “conclision” also reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “freedom to choose where to work” and “economic growth” rather than attempting phrases whose meaning is unclear.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You produce some controlled sentences, particularly in the first body paragraph: “They contend that requiring individuals to work in their home country ensures that the skills and knowledge gained during training are directly applied to address local needs.” This shows an attempt to use a subordinate clause and a clear cause-and-effect structure. Elsewhere, sentence construction is often faulty, especially in “On the other side … they can go anywhere because the hard work they have done we can give reward which they deserve.” The relationships between clauses are unclear, and punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. The conclusion also shifts between “they” and “every body” without a stable sentence pattern. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time and check that each clause has a clear subject and verb.
