Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people have a debate that whether professionals like doctors and engineers should be allowed to work abroad or not. As, few people think of requiring these professionals to work in their home country where they have been trained, whilst others believe that such professionals should be free to work in any part of world as per their desire. Personally, I support the latter view of freedom, but have considerably discussed both views in my essay.
Firstly, the view of some individuals to insist doctors and engineers to work only in the country of training, is ussually supported by the argument that it helps fulfill workforce shortages in relevant sectors. Because in developing countries like pakistan, where people think to have shortages of healthcare professionals and engineers, so they think that if all such professionals practice in their home country, so such doctors and engineers shoratges can be fullly catered. Hence, they believe that country's healthcare and infrastructure needs can be better met.
On the other hand, some people have a view that just like other professionals like; lawyers, who have full flexibility to practice abroad and earn siginficantly higher than of their home country , must also be availed to other professionals too such as doctors and engineers. Which in their opinion, will help such professionals to build better future and elevate their living standards, like any other trained career holder.
In my opinion, the latter view of freedom for people in helathcare and engineering is supported. This is because that like any other professional, if doctors and engineers also starts getting flexibility in making their choice to work at home or abroad country, can provide a sense of freedom to them, and this can create significantly higher chances that such professionals then, would likely be more commited towards their job roles, irrespective of geographical location of their workspace.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for allowing professionals to choose where they work. The workforce-shortage argument is relevant, and you explain that retaining trained doctors and engineers could help meet healthcare and infrastructure needs. You also give a reason for your own view: freedom of choice may increase professionals’ commitment. However, the second viewpoint is less fully developed: the comparison with lawyers and higher earnings does not explain in much detail why working abroad benefits society or professionals. Your opinion would be more convincing with a specific example and fuller consideration of the counterargument, such as how countries might address shortages without restricting workers’ choices.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding paragraph that restates your position. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and the main ideas progress in a logical order. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some control of paragraphing. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the opening of the first body paragraph uses “Because” to introduce a fragment, followed by “so,” making the relationship between the claim and its explanation awkward. The final paragraph also begins “This is because that,” which obscures the link. Use fewer formulaic connectors and make each sentence’s relationship to the previous one explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “workforce shortages,” “healthcare professionals,” “infrastructure needs,” and “living standards.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems reduce precision: “shoratges,” “fullly,” “siginficantly,” and “commited” are misspelled, while “elevate their living standards” and “home or abroad country” are not natural expressions in context. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “such professionals” and “doctors and engineers.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, and vary references with terms such as “trained specialists” or “these workers.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “where,” “if,” and “which,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, complex structures are often not controlled, and errors occur across the response. For example, “people have a debate that whether” has an incorrect clause pattern; “Because in developing countries … so they think” creates a sentence fragment and a faulty construction; and “doctors and engineers also starts” has subject–verb disagreement. The sentence beginning “Which in their opinion” is also incomplete, while “if … can provide” lacks a clear main clause. Practise building complete sentences with one clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and clause boundaries before using longer structures.
