Student answer (Band 6.0)

Many people argue that the high professionals like doctors and engineers should employee in the same nation from which they acquire placements while others believe that it should not be a restriction. Both views have their equal significance but working in own country provides better medical and economical benefits to country.

On the one side, working in own nation helps to raise the economical conditions and improve the infrastructure of country where people acquired their studies. This would aids many health concerns from which people are suffering and increase more job opportunity for those who work under this professions. For example, many labour and assistants work in hospitals and working sites under the supervision of this occupation. However, migration of doctors and engineers would greatly impact the livelihood of these workers as they does not have any option to earn income.

By contrast, living with their own terms and condition is a legal right for every citizen. Restricting people by force to pursue the jobs in their own country will leads to a violence and disappointments among people which is not ideal for the country growth and its development. many people tend to move in other countries because of the career stability and job opportunities from where they can earn comparatively more than their own country. For example, occupation such as doctors and engineers are highly respectable and demanding in the European and American countries in which those people with relevant experience can have a easy immigration journey.

To wrap up, although residing in the same nation can be beneficial for country growth and its development, I believe that forcing people is not an appropriate approach. However, government should implement such facilities and convenience so that people does not have to migrate to another countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both views and give a clear opinion: you recognise the benefits of professionals contributing to the country where they trained, but conclude that they should not be forced to stay. The final suggestion that governments improve local “facilities and convenience” also gives your position a practical direction. This meets the task well overall. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the effects on hospital and construction workers are explained, while the case for professionals’ freedom relies mainly on better pay, stability and opportunities abroad. The examples about Europe and America remain broad. To strengthen the response, explain more specifically how retaining trained professionals benefits local services, and support the freedom argument with a concrete example or a clearer discussion of individual choice.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. Transitions such as “On the one side,” “By contrast,” and “To wrap up” help readers follow the discussion, and the ideas generally progress logically within each paragraph. This is a sound foundation. At times, however, the linking feels formulaic, and some connections between claims need to be made more explicit. For instance, the paragraph moves from local economic conditions to health concerns and then to workers’ livelihoods without clearly showing how each point follows from the previous one. Use a wider range of referencing and linking, and make the relationship between each reason and its example clearer to create smoother progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “infrastructure,” “career stability,” “job opportunities,” and “immigration,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There is also some effort to avoid repeating the same terms. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “high professionals,” “acquire placements,” “economical conditions,” and “a easy immigration journey” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Some phrases are also vague, such as “this occupation” and “facilities and convenience.” These issues fit a limited but usable range, with noticeable errors that sometimes make the reader work to interpret the meaning. Build topic vocabulary in common word partnerships, and check whether each chosen phrase is idiomatic in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including clauses beginning with “where,” “which,” and “because.” This allows you to express reasons and contrast, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur often enough to affect clarity. Examples include “This would aids,” “they does not have,” “will leads,” and “people does not have,” where the verb form or agreement is incorrect. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “can have a easy immigration journey.” Some sentences combine several ideas without secure grammatical control. Practise subject–verb agreement and verb forms first, then review articles and sentence boundaries. Aim to produce accurate complex sentences rather than adding clauses before the basic structure is secure.
