Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are many professionals in the world. A large amount of people argue that professionals should be required to work in the country where they did their training. However other people argue that they should be free to work in any country of their will. Professionals such as doctors, lawyers and engineers get training all over the world in almost every country, hence the importnace of their use is obvious to everyone.

On one hand, if a person does their training in foreign country, it is most definately reasonable to say that they are msot obligated to work and serve to that country. Professionals do their training in high level universities, learning from people who are experties in their own field. In some scenarion, such high level universities do not exist in their own nation, hence they move to other countries for better education. However some dont work in that country and decide to move back to another country of their choice

On the other hand, good amount of people decide to stay in the country they have been trained in and work there, thus doing good for the people of the country that they got their training from. This is a good idea as they would have known the culture of the country and have had made friends for networking

In my opinion, people should have freedom to work anywhere they wish to. Being obligated to work in one place alone could be burden to people.

In conlcusion, even though people mostly work anywhere they wish, some people like to stay in one place and work in the country that they got their training from

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state your opinion that professionals should be free to work where they choose. The discussion of training-country service is relevant, and you mention that some countries lack advanced universities. However, the two positions are only partly developed: the first paragraph mainly asserts that trainees are “obligated” to serve, while the opposing view focuses on cultural familiarity and networking. These points need clearer explanation and a concrete example showing their consequences. Your conclusion repeats the preference for freedom but does not bring the arguments together. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each policy and support your position with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph moves from an obligation to serve to the lack of universities and then to returning home, without clearly connecting these points. The second body paragraph gives only a brief reason for staying. Some linking is mechanical, and the final sentence largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion to a clear close. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main argument, then develop it step by step with explanation or an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “professionals,” “training,” “universities,” “networking,” and “obligated,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “a large amount of people,” “in any country of their will,” and “serve to that country.” Spelling errors such as “importnace,” “experties,” and “conlcusion” are noticeable and reduce the overall control of vocabulary. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe professionals as being “required to work in the country where they trained,” rather than using less natural combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, for example, “In some scenarion, such high level universities do not exist in their own nation, hence they move to other countries.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but complex constructions are often not controlled consistently. Errors include missing articles in “in foreign country” and “could be burden,” and the sentence beginning “However some dont work” is not clearly connected to the preceding idea. Punctuation around linking words is also inconsistent. These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate article use, sentence boundaries, and punctuation, while keeping complex sentences clear and manageable.
