Student answer (Band 6.0)
From my perspective, being free in your own professional life is better than stuck in one place. However, many people like to work in the place they got training because that's a known place for them.
Professions like doctors, engineers is such a challenging profession. They need to be highly skilled and trained in their jobs. Because a persons life is in their hands. If a doctor makes mistake it can cost a patients life. On the other hand, the task of engineers is also difficult; they need to be very precise. People who recommends to work in training institute for few reasons. One of them would be they find it comfortable and the sorroundings of them is known to them. They get attached to that place is also a reason for choosing to work there. They might want to give service to persons who belonged that particular area.
In contrary, people who chooses to work on various places have different motives. Doctor or Engineers who aim to explore and to get experience choose to work freely around the world. Working freely helps people to gather knowledge about different places, people, culture and socities. They get more recongnition as they meet a lot of patients and clients from various places. They get more exposure than ever.
From my knowledge, my grandfather was an engineer. He used to work in different places. He was known among many cities, for his work he and my father and aunts had to shift from here to there. Moreover, they also got an opportunity to travel a foreign country. Thus, I would say that working like a free bird gives more benefits such as networking, experience and knowledge than working like a caged bird.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You discuss both positions and make your preference clear: you favour allowing professionals to work freely, while explaining that some may stay where they trained because the place is familiar or they feel attached to it. The examples about gaining international experience and your grandfather’s engineering career are relevant, so the response fully covers the task’s main requirements. To strengthen the discussion further, develop the reasons behind requiring professionals to remain in the training country. For instance, you could explain how this might address shortages of doctors or engineers, or repay publicly funded training. The point about serving local people is relevant but brief, and the personal example mainly supports your own view rather than weighing both sides equally.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on staying in the training country, a paragraph on working elsewhere, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “On the other hand,” “In contrary,” and “Moreover” to connect ideas. However, some links are mechanical or inaccurate, particularly “In contrary,” and several ideas within the second paragraph are placed together without a clear relationship. The conclusion’s “free bird” and “caged bird” comparison is understandable but does not precisely summarise the two arguments. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to the view it explains.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “highly skilled,” “precise,” “recognition,” “exposure,” and “networking.” These choices help communicate ideas about professional work and international experience. However, the range is uneven, and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision: “free in your own professional life,” “the surroundings of them,” “socities,” and “recongnition.” Some expressions, such as “free bird” and “caged bird,” are vivid but informal for an academic essay. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and check spelling carefully. For example, describe professionals as having “the freedom to choose where they work,” and refer to “local communities” or “professional opportunities” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence (“If a doctor makes mistake it can cost a patients life”) and a relative clause (“who aim to explore”). Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors occur across the response and sometimes make sentences awkward. Examples include “Professions like doctors, engineers is,” “A doctor makes mistake,” and “people who chooses,” which show problems with agreement, articles, and plural forms. The fragment “Because a persons life is in their hands” also needs to be joined to a complete sentence. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries, and build accurate complex sentences before adding more variety.
