Student answer (Band 4.5)
The question of whether professionals like doctors and engineers should be mandated to work in the country where they received their training as they know the area very well as well as the disease for which they need treatment but also they shthould be free to work wherever they want as they should be free to migrate from one place to another in order to recieve high pay rate as well as to provide a good quality service to other people for instance, a mechanic should be allowed to migrate anywhere in order to repair the vehicle as they will be recieving pay for it. for instance, doctors are posted elsewhere ter their training so according to me they should be free to migrate from one place to another in order to recieve either a good education or a higher pay rate for their training.
To conclude, there should be a freedom to let people work in any city they want so it is the efforts that matters as well as the skills not the place where you work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear preference for allowing professionals to work where they choose, especially in the conclusion: “there should be a freedom to let people work in any city they want.” You also briefly mention the opposing view by saying trained professionals know the local area and diseases. However, the discussion is minimal and does not explain why a country might require graduates to serve there, such as recovering the cost of publicly funded training or addressing staff shortages. The examples about a mechanic and doctors being posted elsewhere do not adequately support the main arguments. The response also contains 179 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250. Develop both views with relevant reasons and examples before presenting your conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable overall direction: it introduces the issue, gives a preference for freedom of movement, and ends with a conclusion. However, most of the discussion is compressed into one long opening paragraph, so the two views are not separated or developed in a clear sequence. The repeated “for instance” does not create a logical progression, and the connection between the mechanic example and the question about highly trained professionals is unclear. The conclusion repeats the preference but does not follow from a balanced discussion. Use separate paragraphs for the two positions and your opinion, and connect each reason to its example with clear referencing and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “professionals,” “migrate,” “higher pay rate,” and “quality service,” which allows the reader to understand the general topic and your preference. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or repetitive, particularly repeated references to migrating and receiving a higher pay rate. “A good education” is not clearly connected to the point about working abroad, and “a mechanic” is a weakly matched example for doctors and engineers. Spelling errors such as “shthould,” “recieve,” and “recieving” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary, such as “retain skilled workers,” “publicly funded training,” and “career opportunities,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to express several ideas in complex sentences, using clauses such as “as they know the area very well” and “in order to repair the vehicle.” However, the opening sentence is extremely long and its clauses are joined without clear grammatical control, making the relationship between the two views difficult to follow. There are also errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation, including the lower-case “for instance” after a full stop and the run-on sequence of ideas. The final sentence, “it is the efforts that matters,” has a subject–verb agreement error. Use shorter, complete sentences and check agreement and punctuation; this will make your ideas easier to understand while retaining some complex structures.
