Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe professionals like doctors and engineers should serve in the countries where they did their training because some people love their countries so much that they want their country to grown, to developed country. if professionals of their country serve ouyside the country then how their country could find the benefit of their profession. Maybe the income differ in their country and in outside country but some things are beyong the money. if doctors serve in other countries how the patients of their training country heal?

other people think they should be alloweed to work in another country if they want. some people already have their dreams to become doctor and engineers. They work day and night to fulfil their dreams but when their hardwork does not pay off, they get upset or disappoint. They don't get enough appreciation and also the money. They spent alot of money becoming doctors and engineers but end up having 15% salary in a government hospital and in engineering companies.

In my opinion, if they done training in a country and now the country goves them enough stipened and other facillities. They sould serve to the country but if the country is not doing jistice to them, not giving the facillities and enough stipened they should be free to work in any other country they want. They also have rights to think better or beneficial for themselves as they work very hard to achieve to become doctors and engineers.

I am a food scientist, i got many opportunities in other countries but i coose to serve in the country where i do training of my profession

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both positions and give a personal view, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The first paragraph explains why a country may want to retain trained professionals, while the second raises low pay and limited appreciation as reasons to allow them to leave. Your conditional opinion—that professionals should stay when they receive fair support, but may leave otherwise—is clear, and your experience as a food scientist adds a relevant personal example. However, several points remain under-developed: for instance, the question of how patients would be affected is raised but not explained, and the claim about professionals receiving “15% salary” is unclear. Explain these points and support the comparison between national needs and individual choice more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: it presents one view, then the opposing view, followed by your opinion and personal example. This helps the reader identify the main stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear explanation, such as the move from professionals’ dreams to their hard work and then to salary. The opening paragraph also shifts quickly from national development to patients’ health. Linking expressions such as “On the other hand” and “For this reason” could clarify how each point relates to the previous one. Use clearer paragraph breaks and refer back to ideas explicitly so the argument develops more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “professionals,” “appreciation,” “stipend,” and “facilities,” and you attempt to express ideas about national benefit and personal rights. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “grown, to developed country,” “outside country,” and “does not pay off”; the intended meanings are not always expressed naturally. There are also repeated basic terms such as “country,” “work,” and “doctors and engineers.” Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, use “retain skilled workers” and “career opportunities” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the country is not doing justice to them … they should be free to work.” This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “professionals … should be alloweed” needs a passive form, while “if they done training” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. The opening also begins a new sentence with lowercase “if,” and several long sentences lack clear punctuation. Practise accurate conditional sentences and review subject–verb agreement and past participles; then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly punctuated structure.
