Student answer (Band 4.5)

Many of the people trust professional, like doctor and engineers should be required to work in hometown where they training.others trust they should be work in abroad. In my opinion,in own country is very useful to work because there he did training.

one major aspect that doctor and engineers should be work own their country because they study in their country and also training in their own country. The goverment spend a lot of money in their training and education system.for example the govemrnt and families are invest a lot of money in doctor.People made their house and a lot of money invest in engineers.when pepole are sick people goes to doctor and invest in doctor.

Secondly,In other hand goes to abroad for work doctor and engineers is not my opinion. For example in other countries jobs are not easy. job is very difficult to find in other country. The study is very different in other country. If the doctor and engineer are did complete their training in own country so thats why work are very differnt in abroad.

In conclusion, doctor and engineers are training in their own coiuntry and going abroad for work is very difficult so thats why in own country work is very good for engineers and doctor.People invest in their own coiuntry and also govement are invest in their own country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear opinion that professionals should work in their home country, and you offer a relevant reason: the government and families invest in their education and training. However, the discussion of the opposing view is not adequately developed. You mention that finding work abroad is difficult and that training systems differ, but these points are asserted rather than explained, and the task asks you to discuss both views. The example about people investing in doctors is also unclear. The response contains 212 words, so it is 38 words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt were not counted. To improve, explain the benefits of allowing professionals to work abroad and support both sides with clearer examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

Your response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic structure. You also use signposts such as “one major aspect,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from training costs to house-building and then to patients without clearly connecting these points. “In other hand” does not accurately signal a contrast, and the conclusion repeats the investment point rather than drawing the discussion together. Some references, such as “there” and “thats why,” are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only when their relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “training,” “education,” “government,” “abroad” and “invest,” and the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is repetitive, and several word choices or combinations make ideas unclear, such as “trust professional,” “work in hometown,” “jobs are not easy,” and “People made their house.” Spelling errors, including “govemrnt,” “differnt” and “coiuntry,” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe public spending on professional education, a shortage of job opportunities, or the benefits of retaining skilled workers. More precise vocabulary would help you express the two positions without relying on repeated basic words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to communicate through mostly simple sentences and make some use of clauses with “because” and “if.” However, sentence structures are very limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes obscure meaning. Examples include “they should be work,” “they study in their country and also training,” and “the govemrnt and families are invest.” The opening also joins sentences without appropriate capitalisation or punctuation. Practise accurate basic patterns first, such as “they should work,” “they trained in their own country,” and “the government invests.” Then add controlled complex sentences—for instance, explaining that professionals may work abroad because they can gain experience or better opportunities.
